It's got a lot of miles on the odometer. Nothing horrible but worn and slightly stained here and there. It's clean and the front desk was pleasant. But the infrastructure is tired. It would have been just fine if they didn't obscure the HVAC being offline. We got to our room and the A/C wouldn't work (32c outside). I talked to front desk, maintenance came, first thing he asked was "everything is ok with the room right?". That is an odd question. The issue was known, you are there to fix the A/C. I said no, the A/C is out and the room is 28c. He looked at the Thermostat for a few minutes and said he couldn't get it to work. I said, I know the error code shown there shows that the main A/C compressor is offline. That means the whole system is down. I told him I would ask for a different room. He said, "Oh well let me see if I can find a portable A/C unit." So he left and brought back a unit and hooked it up. Using duct tape he attached it to the window and the hose to the back of the unit. We left and went to the Calgary Stampede for the evening. When we returned 5 hours later, the tape had come loose and the hot air was blowing into the room instead of out the window. It's midnight, I fixed it myself by propping up the hose and we tried to sleep. We didn't sleep well and checked out first thing in the morning. They knew that room didn't have a/c and tried to pretend it did.

Rooms are not as advertised. Safety concerns present in parking lot.

The check in took 11 hours. Staff was terrible to deal with. They couldn’t find my reservation. Left a disabled friend and my 82 year old father at 10:00 at night unable to check in due to confusion at their end. My daughters first tried to check in rooms at 4 pm. Everything was paid for days in advance. Terrible service!!! I wasted hours on the phone with managers!! Many guest complaining. Awful place Waste of my Money to sleep Until 6 am checkout. Very very disappointing Manager never offered any discounts or sincere apologies or took care of my family. Inexcusable treatment of elders who paid in advance

The front desk staff were very nice, but the room service staff weren’t very friendly. We stayed there for 5 days and not once did room service come by once, (we were in our room all morning and afternoon and didn’t leave the room until the evening time). The wallpaper in our room was peeling when we got there and the AC unit could be heard, but never felt. The hotel has a very confusing layout, I found myself helping other guest find there way around often. It took us a while to understand the directions to find one singular ice machine for all 4 floors and elevator that you can only access once you go down a flight of stairs. The stay was cheap considering the time of year we went but honestly I would not recommend unless you are looking for a hotel that is exactly that: cheap. The best way I would describe this place is simply “a place to sleep at night”.

Good choice for budget Stampede stay. Right by the train stop. Food and convenience store nearby. Pool was closed unfortunately, but reopened next day. Homeless and addicts loiter and pass out on the property but they were harmless enough. Lost power when using microwave, portable air conditioner, TV, and coffee maker together. Kinda run down place But hey, we had a great time and the staff was great. We'd stay again

Hôtel aurais besoin de rénovations. Une de nos deux chambres n’étaient pas nettoyé à notre arrivée à 21:00. Mais hôtel bien situé pour le Stampede

Went to enjoy the hotel pool, but it has been converted to a swimming lesson facility. There is only a small swim lane that is accessible to hotel patrons while the rest of the pool is taken up by private swimming lessons. This should be documented better and should be transparent prior to booking. The pictures are misleading with the pool because again, only a small lane is available to use by patrons. No towels available and when asked the workers at the pool, they said they don't work for the hotel.

Pool was amazing, rooms were nice but the people in the room next to us their child was screaming and crying at the top of their lungs till 1 or 2AM. I called down to the front desk multiple times and there was no answer. Not necessarily hotels fault but the overnight staff should have been available to deal with the issue.
