Shoraian Kyoto Kaiseki Cuisine - Kyoto Arashiyama

The restaurant got tranquil environment and the meals are delicious. All waitresses are very professional and kind. The tofu cuisine is one of the best that we had experienced in Japan. Overall thumbs-up for this lunch experience and we highly recommended!!!

位置坐落在公園裡，建議搭乘完小火車之後就可以一路逛過去，非常的方便。 坐在裏面可以直接看到旁邊的保津川，特色豆腐料理及藝術家的搭配， 一場味覺與視覺的饗宴！

Restaurant Ambiance: The ambiance of the restaurant is traditional Japanese in style. It is a perfect occasion to wear a kimono to enjoy your kaiseki there. However, I highly recommend wearing comfortable shoes, such as sandals rather than clogs, for the rugged path to the restaurant. Taste: Since the kaiseki focuses on a tofu theme, the cuisine is expected to be a bland diet. Despite this, the cold sliced tofu is my favourite. This is because the chef first makes the tofu firmer than usual, then slices it into thin pieces to enhance its texture, resembling shaved ice. With a drop of soy sauce, the tofu becomes highly palatable.

Mă așteptam să termin masa în jumătate de oră, dar preparatele rafinate din tofu m-au făcut să stau o oră și jumătate. Atmosfera a fost elegantă și, chiar dacă eram singur, am ocupat o masă mare, ceea ce m-a făcut să mă simt puțin stânjenit.
