Tur de o zi pe insulele Timba-Timba, Mataking și Pom Pom în Semporna

O experiență minunată mergând la insulele Mataking și Pom Pom. Nu am putut opri la insula Timba Timba din cauza restricțiilor guvernamentale, însă am oprit într-o zonă pentru snorkeling. Ghidul a fost foarte amabil, făcându-ne fotografii, am văzut multe broaște țestoase marine ieri și pești tropicali cu recife de corali frumoase. Am văzut și un pește leu. Am avut o experiență grozavă, unică în viață. Aș recomanda acest tur!

Șoferul ne-a preluat de la hotel și a fost punctual. Ghidul vorbește engleza. Băieții sunt prietenoși și au simțul umorului. Prânzul a fost simplu, dar sățios. Drumeția merită din cauza priveliștii uimitoare de la Bohey Dulang, dar nu uitați să aduceți spray anti-țânțari, deoarece sunt mulți. Aduceți o pereche bună de încălțăminte. Nu este recomandat celor care au dificultăți la mers, deoarece drumeția poate fi destul de abruptă. Sunt furnizate apă și prosoape. Apele sunt limpezi și frumoase. Se pot vedea pești și, în general, este o experiență grozavă și plăcută.

Am rezervat un tur de o zi la insulele Mataking, Timba Timba și Pom Pom. Din păcate, din cauza șederii noastre la Kapalai, nu am putut urma acea rută. În schimb, a trebuit să reorganizăm turul nostru ghidat de snorkeling doar la Pulau Mabul și Kapalai. Pulau Mabul nu a fost atât de grozav, prea aglomerat cu mulți turiști și apa nu era atât de limpede pentru snorkeling, nu am văzut prea multă frumusețe subacvatică. Dar Kapalai este total opusul, merită toți banii dacă vă place lumea subacvatică. Ghidul, James, a fost excelent. Personalul de la resortul Kapalai a fost foarte politicos și de ajutor. Ne-am bucurat de șederea noastră la Kapalai, Semporna, 3 zile și 2 nopți.

Loved it loved it loved it. I would do it again. check in was easy. Instrutions for boat embarkment time were clear, the stuff checking us in was all smiles. The boat was great. They do small groups and we were comfy. We got to see schools of fish and tons and tons of sea turtles and amazing coral. I am not a strong swimmer or snorkler so the at first i got pulled with another lady by (MiaoMiao-not his real name but he made us laugh by making cat sounds and singing) Our guide Denish was an all star. He and miaomiao i think his real name is Bira or something, made the trip fun, eventfull and light hearted. On the second island i got the opportunity to snorkle being pulled by miaomiao and with his guidnce and following his movements was abe to snorkle without holding on to the bouy!! a great and patient teacher!! by the 3rd island i felt like a pro!

We had several issues, but their customer service replied promptly and politely. Overall, the experience on the islands was great. When we were snorkelling, the divers would help you take your camera to record videos and take your pictures. There can't be much that goes wrong with islands in Sabah. I think we were more blindsided by the fact that the tourism industry in Semporna caters heavily to tourists from China. So much so that the guide was speaking entirely in Mandarin, which we couldn't fully understand, and they didn't make an effort to communicate with us differently. However, we brought this up with their customer service, and after this, we took another 2 tours from them, and the experience got better. The other downside to these tours was that the first half of the day was filled with itineraries involving a lot of picture taking and sightseeing. Being with the tour from 9 am to 4.30 pm, we were only snorkelling from about 1 pm to 3.30 pm.

Los chicos que iban organizando el viaje son muy simpáticos y profesionales. No requiere experiencias previas porque explican todo para principiantes. La playa, especialmente, Timba Timba es de arena blanca y aguas turquesas. Hay suciedad que arrastra la marea, pero en las zonas que hemos hecho snorkel no hay nada de basura. De hecho, ha sido una experiencia única, hemos visto tortugas, estrellas de mar, peces de todo tipo y tamaño, corales…
