Rădăcini și Arome: O Descoperire în Pulau Ubin

Eu și familia mea am fost în tur pe 24 mai 2026. Au fost în total 12 participanți la tur. Ne-am bucurat foarte mult de timpul petrecut, deoarece ghidul nostru turistic, domnul Seah, este spiritual, prietenos, bine informat și are grijă de siguranța și bunăstarea noastră. Ne-a invitat să observăm și să gândim înainte de a ne împărtăși cunoștințele și poveștile sale. Ne-am simțit ca niște prieteni care ne plimbă pentru a explora partea de est a insulei Pulau Ubin. Apoi am încheiat turul cu un prânz delicios. Mulțumim, domnule Seah!

Am folosit voucherele noastre culturale SG de 100 USD. Raport calitate-preț excelent. Seah, ghidul nostru turistic, a fost foarte bine informat, experimentat și de ajutor. Un tur foarte educativ/interesant, învățând multe despre flora și fauna/viața marină din Ubin. 10 minute cu feribotul, 2 ore de drumeție; vizitând Scena Wayang, Casa Căpeteniei, Templul Toa Peh Kong, terminând în Chek Jawa + o plimbare de jumătate de oră pe pasarelă. Călătorie de întoarcere cu duba la restaurantul cu fructe de mare/prânz: calamar, pește la aburi, creveți, carne de porc dulce-acrișoară, legume asortate. Familia noastră de 6 persoane (un copil de 5 ani) s-a bucurat de mâncare + un tur foarte bine organizat. Mulțumiri lui Seah, Samuel (Manager, Otter Tour) și Klook pentru că au făcut din aceasta o excursie de familie atât de memorabilă și captivantă pentru noi. Recomandăm cu căldură să folosiți creditul cultural de 100 USD pentru acest tur Ubin.

Mă bucur atât de mult că am participat la acest tur – a meritat pe deplin voucherul meu cultural SG de 100 de dolari! Seah, ghidul nostru, a fost uimitor. Cunoaște Ubin pe de rost, de la cele mai interesante plante la cele mai ciudate curiozități, și s-a asigurat că toată lumea a fost bine îngrijită. Ce mică aventură distractivă! În plus, am avut un prânz delicios… super gustos!

Travelling to Changi Village and taking the bumboat at the jetty sets you on a different mode as you go back in time when things were so much simpler . I was thrilled to see a wild boar family and was afraid to go too close as the mother might be aggressive if we go too close to her babies . We had a good lunch at the seafood restaurant. Everything seems so fresh.

Though it was raining while we were there, it was an interesting experience to explore the island in the rain. The main guide, Seah, was extremely knowledgeable and experienced. Both guides took care of the team (9pax) and helped us to learn so much about Pulau Ubin's Flora and history. Lunch was amazingly delicious with fresh seafood! Big thank you to the guides and the friendly driver in Pulau Ubin!

The two tour guide ( PS Seah and Jack ) were very good and responsible . Seah shared alot of knowledge about the plants on the island as well as additional information beyond the scope of this tour . The overall timing of the tour was controlled well . The only minus is we did not get to walk one section of the Chek Jawa Mangrove broadwalk due to maintenance work . Being a 1st timer to Ubin , this tour is both informative as well as fun too . Good work on both the tour guides

Just take note that the tour actually begins at 9am! I was not added into the WA group by the tour agency, so my mum and I were clueless of the actual tour starting time, and arrived at 9.30am instead. Nevertheless, Richard our tourguide was very knowledgeable and quick to think on the ground. He managed to adjust the arrangement for the tour to let the rest of the tour group take a boat to Pulau Ubin first, while he waited for me and my mum at Changi Ferry Point Terminal. He also helped to explain the situation to the rest of the group on our arrival, and we still had a very enjoyable time with the rest. We explored the Chek Jawa Wetlands, walked the boardwalk and had a surprisingly yummy seafood lunch. Seafood (lala, prawns and fish) was very fresh. Stir-fried vegetables were fresh, crunchy and sweet too. Bee hoon was raved by most at the table as well. Braised chicken wings were tender and omelette was delicious. We also loved the chrysanthemum hot tea and the chilli sauce. The vans were also very clean and comfortable and a great respite from the mosquitos and heat/humidity. My mum and I really enjoyed the trip with Richard our tourguide and the group. Richard was also very helpful to take pictures for us, recommend photo spots, point out interesting features and assist all of us in boarding and alighting the ferry boats. For first timer visitors - please remember to use mosquito repellent and wear long sleeves, pants and bring a hat or umbrella, water bottle, wet wipes and a fan. They will come in useful! You can also choose to stay on after lunch (to explore the sensory trail, cycle, etc) or take the ferry back. This tour is a great way to be initiated to Pulau Ubin and Chek Jawa Wetlands.

Very educational and interesting, is also quite unforgettable as one of our group members umbrella was snatched by a monkey. The scenery along the boardwalk overlooking the other side of Singapore is also beautiful and scenic. The mangrove with moulds made by crabs was a rare and interesting views. The seafood lunch after our activity, was okay.

It is my first trip to Pulau Ubin as Singaporean. If not because of Covid, I may not visit this place. Great place for visiting. I also found rambutan at the island very nice to eat.

Guide Richard Lee was excellent with the geography, history, flora and fauna of Pulau Ubin, and best of all, was having the mini bus ferry us from the Jetty to Chek Jawa. It's a straightforward forward tour and I picked the date for high tide 2.8m at 10.30am, and you should pick low tide if you really want to view the wetlands. No exploration of Chek Jawa in this tour, except from the boardwalk so I rather it at high tide! Leisurely enjoyed although most kept to themselves - maybe it's social distancing! Avoid bring snacks in plastic bags, please. You'll find out why. The wildlife have already been spoilt by too many. Check Instagram #ChekJawa before going. Lunch was not bad. Perfect half day getaway before the afternoon storm!
