This was our first class we have ever taken in Japan and for the price, it went way above our expectations. we spent an hour crafting these lovely and delicate traditional Japanese sweets and looked darling and tasted amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a cost effective cultural experience.

LOVED getting to learn how to make traditional Japenese sweets! Our instructor was awesome - very knowledgeable and talked with us about everything. He explained everything very well and it was super easy to follow along. The sweets were delicious! we took ours to go because it can be a lot to eat at once! Would recommend to anyone looking to try something different - or dive into another culture!

Making the nekiri sweets out of bean paste was a fun experience. It's almost like playing with play dough, and the instructions are simple enough that it's suitable for children to do. The instructor spoke both English and Japanese so it was easy to understand. you have a choice of eating your sweets at the class or taking them with you; I recommend getting the to go box and matcha add on because they're very sweet and you probably won't want to finish all of them at the class.

Gar nicht so einfach wie man denkt. 🫣 Schöner Workshop, wird gut erklärt. Manchmal geht ein bisschen zu schnell zum nächsten Schritt, aber im Großen und Ganzen kommt man in der Stunde gut klar.

The workshop was fun and conducted in both English and Japanese. the instructor was great and it was easy to follow along. I would definitely come again.

I've done this before with my school but my friends are visiting Kyoto so we decided to do it together. The instructor said everything in both Japanese and English as there were many Japanese guests too. The difficulty is just hard enough that you feel a challenge but not so hard that it's no longer fun. I personally love nerikiri so I happily ate them afterwards, so tasty!!
