Excursie de o jumătate de zi la Centrul de Faună Sălbatică Semenggoh din Kuching

Leider ist in diesem Park bis Ende März bzw sogar bis Mitte April Früchtezeit so dass die Orang Utans nicht zur Fütterungsstelle kommen. Der Guide Mr. Mas Daud hat mir jedoch eine Alternative vorgeschlagen einen anderen Wildlife Park auch ca. 1h von Kuching entfernt. Allerdings sind die Tiere dort in Gehegen, da es eine Auffangstation ist und jedes Tier auch keine so schöne Vergangenheit hatte. Aber ich habe sehr viel gesehen auf dem Rundweg von ca. 1h. Der Guide war einfach sensationell, hat viel erklärt und als er wusste dass mich auch kleine Tiere interessieren, hat er überall angehalten und mir welche gezeigt, die ich als Tourist gar nicht gesehen hätte. Alles in allem eine perfekte Nachmittags Tour, sehr zu empfehlen.

Mr Mas and Mr Foo were friendly and upfront to us during the tour. Mr Mas informed us that orang utans had not shown up in Semmengoh wildlife centre for almost 2 months due to fruit season and offered to bring us to Matang wildlife centre instead where we saw orang utans, hornbills and sun bears etc. Thank you for making the tour an enjoyable one :)

The pickup from the hotel was on time. We ended up being the only ones in the join-in group. The guide provided information all along the driving. He helped us bypass all the q at the center and explained us what to do and what we would be seeing. We saw seven orangutans eating and planes. It was an amazing experience. Highly recommend

our guide, Mr Saini picked us up & headed to Semenggoh Wildlife Center. luckily for us Gyana, a 17 yr old male orangutan showed up for breakfast! The park ranger was giving information about the orangutans & the sanctuary

We purchased tickets in advance through Klook, and the experience was seamless, with round-trip transportation included. Our local guide was highly knowledgeable about orangutans and their behaviors, sharing fascinating insights throughout the journey. We were incredibly fortunate to see seven orangutans during our visit, who stayed near the viewing platforms and feeding areas for an extended time. Observing them in a (semi-)natural environment and witnessing the conservation efforts in action was truly inspiring.

Our guide was friendly and punctual. He was humurous and gave us lots of Sarawak insights. We truly enjoyed our time at the orang utan sanctuary. The place was well taken care of and we were lucky to see 2 orang utans (despite having to zoom in 10times with our cameras LOL)

Pickup on time, arrived with plenty of time to walk to the feeding station. Saw young male orang utan "Jubilee". Driver was friendly and helpful.

Sadly it was the fruiting season, so ZERO orangutans came. The trip and the anticipation was fun but the crowd of VERY NOISY TOURISTS was a turn-off despite the ranger telling them explicitly that we have to be very quiet. Felt like a picnis by the beach minus a picnic mat and food. But when you have expected almost zero orangutans at the start, it was fine. The experience itself was thrilling.

Manage to see 3 orangutans and 1 giant squirrel. The nature reserve ranger feeds twice a day. 9am and 3pm.

Pick up was clear in the WhatsApp’s. Sighting of orangutan was by chances. Depends on the orangutans.
