Kyoto: Atelier Kintsugi în Gion - Reparații japoneze cu aur

We had the best time doing the workshop this afternoon. We especially loved our guide Katie. She was very patient with our family and explained all of the processes very clearly so that we were able to create our own beautiful masterpieces. Even our eight-year-old was able to take part and had lots of fun. Thank you Katie and Team for a wonderful experience. We highly recommend this experience for adults and families alike. Remember to double check the address of this location as it is in a different location to the Zen chopstick and knife making workshops, which we also did today and are also are in a different location to this experience.

my husband and I just did the Kintsugi and Chopsticks workshops and LOVED it!! Patrick guided us through chopsticks crafting and Will walked us through Kintsugi. Both guides were phenomenal, spoke great English, and were hilarious and fun! 10/10 I’d recommend doing again!

Our instructor Bunon was very helpful, very peaceful and calm, and really helped us understand what this kitsugi art form is about. She made us feel very comfortable and at ease when doing the workshop. The workshop is set up in a really cute little space in Kyoto, and there are a lot of people participating in different groups. If you go in a group of 3 to 5 people, you get private attention, so you get to do the workshop with your friends or family. I highly recommend this workshop, and it's 100% value for money.

We had an awesome experience learning the art of Kintsugi in Kyoto. I attended with my adult daughter and we both had a wonderful time. The booking says the class is one hour, which is not enough time to actually complete the class. You’d be better allocating 1 1/2 to 2 hours for the experience. We really only had an hour and were rushed getting it finished in 1 hour 20 minutes. That was the only downside to the class. Our instructor JoJo did a marvelous job of explaining some of the history and uses of Kintsugi. It really was fascinating to experience the philosophy of rebirth and reuse. Like so many of the temples use the Phoenix as a symbol for rebirth, this class taught the practical side of the concept. From reassembling the broken dish to applying the gold, JoJo made it fun and informative. Highly recommend it to anyone - all ages!! instructor: Fun and interesting. experience: Very happy we made time for this!!

We had an amazing Kintsugi workshop with Jem and Ash for our family of 3! We scheduled the 9am session and we were one of only a few in the studio. They were both so patient and informative, allowing us to take our time and cheer us on along the way. You get to choose a broken dish (bigger and fancier ones available for purchase) then take a seat at a fully set up station. Jem and Ash walked us through each step one at a time following our pace. We brought our 15 month old who decided to fuss a bit during the session. They tag teamed playing with our toddler to allow us the ability to finish our crafts. They both offered to take pictures of us working and at the end of the experience to capture the memory. This studio does allow you to do either the chopstick or Kintsugi as part of your voucher. They did have room for walk up slots too. The location is in the Gion district with a short walk to the Yasaka Pagoda which made for a nice morning overall. 10/10 experience!

Çok keyifli ve huzur verici bir deneyimdi. Rehber Roman'a çok teşekkür ederim. Güleryüzlü ve kibar. Çok ilgilendi. Adım adım anlattı ve gösterdi. Kesinlikle denemenizi tavsiye ederim. Kintsigu tarihi ile ilgili bilgileri de öğreniyorsunuz.

lovely workshop! the staff were all very kind, and patiently helped us complete our kintsugi project, before packing it carefully for us to take. a small white plate was included in the original cost, and there were more colourful or larger items available to upgrade to if you wish. I enjoyed this activity greatly!

Had an amazing time, Thunder and Jack hosted the session, and provided an amazing history of Kitsungi, they were super friendly and also provided excellent dinner location suggestions. They also offered to take photographs of us throughout the session

Momoka y Arata nos han guiado por el ancestral proceso de reparación de cerámica, siguiendo el principio de resaltar el fallo. un rato de desconexión, tranquilidad y ver cómo con nuestras manos podemos arreglar y crear.
