La ce să vă așteptați
Aflați și înțelegeți cum se realizează Batik și procesele din spatele acestuia. Batik-ul ceruit manual cu un canting este cunoscut sub numele de "Batik Tulis". Aceasta este modalitatea originală, sau tradițională, de a crea batik. Instrumentul folosit pentru a aplica ceara în linii fine se numește "canting". Un instrument de cântat/canting este format din două părți, mânerul care este făcut din bambus și duza frontală care este făcută din cupru.
Atelierul începe cu o scurtă introducere în teoria batik-ului, acoperind istoria sa bogată și simbolismul din spatele motivelor tradiționale. Instructorii noștri vor susține apoi o demonstrație live a procesului autentic de desen batik folosind ceară topită. Ulterior, participanții își vor crea propriile modele batik pe modele pre-selectate sub supraveghere ghidată.

This Batik Tulis workshop at Ozel was amazing from start to finish. Big thanks to Ms. Zakiah, who is such a welcoming and knowledgeable teacher. Getting hands-on with authentic tools, learning about Southeast Asian batik heritage, and walking away with a handmade piece from my first Batik experience made, it so rewarding and memorable. Left with great memories and a genuine appreciation for the craft!
A must try experience! The staff were so welcoming and friendly, giving us a brief but interesting introduction to the different batik styles and customs before explaining the methods to properly do the batik wax design. You will choose a stencil, draw out the design with the wax, then paint it to your liking! What a lovely and enriching experience. 10/10 recommend!
I had a wonderful experience with my child. Since I am not very confident speaking English, I really appreciated how patiently and slowly everything was explained to us. It was very helpful and made the experience much more enjoyable. We also learned a lot from all the explanations and information you kindly shared with us. I had such a wonderful time at this batik workshop! We learnt about the different batik patterns and their meanings, which made the experience so meaningful and enriching. What I loved most was that we didn’t just watch — we actually got to use the wax and paint our own batik piece, which was really fun and hands-on. It felt very authentic and engaging from start to finish. It was definitely a great use of the SG culture pass 👍🏼
