Templul Maimuțelor – Tur pietonal SwayambhuNath
Stupa Swayambhunath, situată pe vârful unui deal, este un lăcaș sfânt de mare antichitate și mister în Valea Kathmandu. Domul său alb maiestuos și turla aurie strălucitoare sunt clar vizibile din fiecare colț al văii.
La ce să vă așteptați
Călătoria noastră începe în Thamel și ne duce la faimosul Templu Indrayeni, situat pe malurile râului Bishnumati.
De acolo, vom continua spre Templul Shova Bhagawati, un alt sit remarcabil pe drumul nostru.
Templul Shova Bhagwati este un alt sanctuar semnificativ pe drumul către Swayambhunath. Aici, veți întâlni Ashta Matrikas (Cele Opt Mame) și Nava Durgas (Cele Nouă Durgas), care se numără printre cele mai venerate zeițe din cultura nepaleză.

One of the highlights of my time in Kathmandu, with incredible views over the valley. I highly recommend visiting with a guide, as there is a lot of detail and many shrines you might otherwise miss. Sandip was very patient and took the time to explain both Buddhist and Hindu concepts to me, which really added depth to the experience, as well as wider context about everyday life and culture in Nepal.
