Very clean and comfortable beds. Very small room but only a bed for the night was required. Shower curtain rail fell off after last shower which we reported. Excellent location.

AC is no good, my family did not have a restful and comfortable stay — i’d like to request a partial refund.

We loved the location of this older hotel - felt very authentic and we very much enjoyed it. I did pay for a room including breakfast, but unfortunately the breakfast room didn’t open until 8:30 am, which was late for us.

We really enjoyed our 6 night stay. The room was clean, the bed were comfortable, the bathroom was clean and spacious. The staff was helpful. The location is great, close to Metro lines and several sites of interest. Our room was extremely quiet and we had restful nights all the time. The gothic decor is unique. I will likely book it again if I come back to Barcelona

Nice location and great experience

Our stay of 3 nights was very nice and pleasant. The location was perfect for what we were looking to do. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They have a beautiful restaurant; unfortunately, we did not have the opportunity to enjoy. We did feel the room could have used a better bed. It was 2 twins pushed together that kept sliding apart since there was no carpet to hold them. A refrigerator and microwave would have been nice. The electric kettle was very useful. We would definitely stay again.

The room I was initially given had electrical issues, and I had to change rooms. The power wasn’t working properly, and several outlets were cracked and wouldn’t securely hold my charger, so I had to balance it on objects just to keep it plugged in. The shower drain and bathtub controls were also in poor condition. The diverter for the shower was rusty and difficult to use, and it took quite a bit of fiddling to get the water flowing correctly. Service was inconsistent. The night shift staff member with glasses was exceptionally kind and helpful, but some front desk staff refused to communicate in English. During check-in, I also felt the interaction could have been handled more professionally. I had no issue waiting while other guests were being helped, but I was uncomfortable being told to stay in the lobby while my passport was taken away to be scanned. I understand that passports need to be copied, but having such an important document taken out of my sight without any explanation made me uneasy. The location is reasonably convenient, but cars and taxis cannot drop you directly at the hotel, which makes arriving with luggage more difficult. Overall, I found the hotel to be mediocre. Between the maintenance issues, inconsistent customer service, and the overall condition of the facilities, I don’t think the location alone justifies staying here.

Clean and comfortable room

Our room was small but cleanly & quiet. The bathroom door was a sliding glass door so there isn’t much privacy where sound is concerned. We didn’t mind but something to note. The shower was awesome though and had great water pressure. Staff was overall friendly, however the man who was working when we checked in was very rude and made it clear he did not like tourists. Wasn’t a very warm welcome after we had just got done driving 11 hours to get there.

This hotel is old and not luxurious but we weren't looking for fancy. The location is amazing. I would stay here again.
