The language barrier plays a big part in this, but so does the lack of kindness of the front staff. The food was horrible and everything smells like stale smoke and gross mildew. This was our first time visiting Japan and we will not be coming back to Tokyo. There is a lot of hype in the USA about how clean and nice Japan is and how amazing the food is but honestly it is not good. The people here are rude and noone speaks any english. I understand we are coming from the USA but we met a lot of people from Australia, London and other countries and they all say the same thing.

This hotel was not only beautiful but the staff were so very helpful. A 7/11 is conveniently located on property as well as a couple of clothing stores. The breakfast buffet was well stocked with an assortment of fresh fruits, steamed fish, soups and array of local favorites.

Enjoyed the first four nights so much that I cancelled another hotel reservation so that I could stay one more night. The Japanese garden on the hotel grounds is beautiful. At 5pm everyday, a 16th century bell in the garden is rung. A peaceful place to be at the end of each day during a very busy business trip.
