My stay at Pousada Palácio de Queluz was, without question, the best hotel experience I have ever had in Europe. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine warmth and exceptional hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my requests and helped me navigate the area from day one. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. Located directly across from the stunning Palácio de Queluz, it feels like stepping back in time. The rooms are spacious, elegantly furnished, and full of historic charm, with high ceilings and incredibly comfortable beds. At the same time, the bathrooms are modern and thoughtfully designed. A special thank you to João at reception, who warmly welcomed me and shared the fascinating history of the hotel and the palace. Every single person I encountered, from the breakfast staff to the housekeeping team , was kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. As a lovely surprise, I was welcomed with a bottle of wine, which made my stay feel even more special. I travel frequently, and by the end of most trips I’m usually eager to return home. This was the first time I found it difficult to leave a hotel. Portugal has many hidden gems, and Pousada Palácio de Queluz is truly one of them. I recommend it wholeheartedly and cannot wait to return.

A unique property located across the Palace of Queluz which is worth visiting. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent facility, very clean, wonderful breakfast. Parking on the property very easy. Enjoyed it very much.

Comfortable beds & pillows. AC in the room was good to have although it would have been better if it could have cooled down more. Breakfast included with the room tariff was just superb.

Amazing stay in a historic building, renovated respectfully. Very helpful staff and a hearty breakfast.

Missed conditioner and the wrap around water feature needs to be cleaned or planted. Room was comfortable and clean.

Great breakfast

Check-in smooth and very friendly, Wi-Fi easy to get on and fast, beautiful property with view of the palace. Quality interiors. High point was the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff, they were great.

This is a truly glorious hotel. Its astoundingly quiet. The most spacious room I've ever had in Europe. The staff speaks English and is forgiving of my bad Portuguese.
