It’s just ok. Close to the train. Dated facilities, but clean enough. Breakfast is meh. Bed is just a hard box springs with an old foam rubber pad on top; not very comfortable. Overall this hotel is ok for the price paid, but next time in the area I’ll likely look for another hotel.

Small room but then decent facilities Was staying there because I have a day tour from there to Aso the next morning convenient enough And the breakfast was quite good!

駅にも近く、周りに飲食店もあり、立地は良い。バスの団体客が到着した時など、たまにレセプションの処理能力をオーバーして、外出時のカギ返却まで待たされることがある。

We flew from HKG to Narita to connect to Kumamoto. Wel need to stay overnight so as to receive our rental car the following morning. The hotel is located right next to the JR Station Higoozu and a free shuttle was offered that runs every 30 minutes connecting the airport to the JR station. The hotel was immaculate. The staffs speak good English and was super nice and helpful. Our bookIng includes 2 twin beds, free breakfast and free parking. To top it off, the on-site free hot spring (onsen) was wonderful. The price was very reasonable. The following morning, we rode the free shuttle from the JR station , which is just 2 minute walk from the hotel, back to the airport to pickup our rental. Highly recommend this hotel to my fellow travelers. A hidden gem we just discovered after many previous trips to this wonderful country!

Hotel Route-Inn Aso Kumamoto Airport Ekimae was a decent hotel. The service was very good. The room was clean but small. Kumamoto is a suburban town. I expected the room would be bigger than a big-city hotel room but I was wrong. Japan hotel bathrooms in general are small. We usually take the shower in the onsen (hot spring). This hotel’s onsen was very small. It only had 4 showers. The onsen could fit 4 people at most. The showers in the onsen or in the room were very strong. That was the upside. The hotel didn’t provide body lotion. The hotel is 45 minutes drive from Kumamoto. There was nothing around the hotel area. We ate dinner in Kumamoto. The hotel included breakfast and it was an excellent benefit. Parking and Wi-Fi were free. Our destination was Aso Volcano (not the town of Aso). We couldn’t find a hotel near Aso Volcano so we chose this hotel. It is about 1.5 hours drive to the volcano. We wouldn’t mind to stay in this hotel again if we come to the area. The price was reasonable even in the Japanese Golden Week holidays, April 26 to May 6 period. Although the onsen is small, some hotels don’t even have onsen. We were grateful for the amenity.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The breakfast was very delicious and offered many choices. Furthermore, it varied every day The spa was definitely worth a visit (nice onsen inside and outside). Finally, the location is also very good because it’s within a walking distance from a train station.

Great location for an overnight stay nearby Aso-Kumamoto Airport with free shuttle from the airport to JR Hugo-otsu station. The hotel is old, but very clean. The air in the Non-smoking room floors is fresh and odorless. Friendly staffs and communicable in simple English. Free Onsen bath is an extra bonus.

Other hotels in this chain have been good for business travel, but This is an older hotel, and I think they are planning to renovate soon; however, I would choose another location until they do.

The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Some are able to speak English. There are free coffee and tea facilities in the seating area in front of the concierge desk from 6am to 10pm. The breakfast buffet has some western dishes but mostly typical Japanese breakfast. The hotel is located close to a Lawson's convenience store, a 7-11 convenience store, an AEON supermarket and a Cosmos drugstore as well as being near a train station.

Very helpful lady on the reception desk who was able to answer all queries we raised in English.
