The staff at the Hotel Abbazia went above and beyond for us. (Shout out to Mirko, Matteo, and Raffaele!) We had an early flight out of Venezia and they saved us from paying 150 Euro for a water taxi; instead, they coordinated a porter for us so we could walk over the bridge and take the bus to the airport. We were going to miss breakfast, so they packed us generous to-go bags so we had something to eat. We really appreciated the kindness of the staff!
The hotel itself is a little bit of dated elegance, but for me, that's what Venezia is. It's absolutely perfect for its location. Our room was very clean and nice with comfortable beds and a quality A/C (which was needed because it was HOT outside!). The bathroom is completely updated with a fantastic high-pressure shower (better than my one in the US, which is hard to find sometimes in Europe, in my experience). The wifi at times could be a little spotty but we were in the farthest room from the entrance, and the building is really solidly constructed.
Overall, a great experience at a reasonable price, and in a good location. We were a 5 minute walk from the train station, a 2 minute walk from water taxis and water buses, and a 7 minute walk from the bus and car taxis.

Fantástico This hotel is about 100 yards from the train station which is wonderful. This hotel was a monastery back in the days and is actually attached to one of the most beautiful churches I have ever been in. It has a very nice bar/lounge area and provides breakfast with an array of items to choose from. It was nice to have breakfast in the courtyard.

The hotel is very well located, 10 minute walk of the train station, quiet and nice. The building is old Venetian charm offers a pretty courtyard. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable. My only disappointment is that the bathroom did not provide a stand up shower, just a bath. When mentioned at the desk, I was told that I should have asked ....although there was no mention when I booked the room.
The breakfast buffet is very generous!

What a great hotel. It is close to the train station. We had a family stay with a 5-year-old. The beauty and convenience of this place is hard to beat. It is absolutely worth the price. You will not regret staying here.

We had a wonderful stay! The entire staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The hotel was spotless, comfortable, and very well maintained. The location was perfect—close to everything we wanted to see and made getting around so easy. Overall, an amazing experience, and we would definitely stay here again!

The breakfast had a great selection. Apart from the eggs being overly salty, the savory and sweet pastries, cold cuts, cereal, fruits, salads, chicken wings, bacon, assortment of breads and jams, 3 different types of juices and variety of specialty coffees from the machine were fantastic!
The location couldn’t be better. It is literally 5 mins from the train station, didn’t have to deal with water taxi transport or bridges. The only steps were the ones from the train station to get to the walking path, which is less than 10 steps.
The staff were so professional, polite and helpful!
The room is considered standard size for European standard. The only feedback I think would help make it better for other guests is the hotel gave us wash cloth and hand towels that have the same material as dinner cloth napkins, very weird. It’s not absorbent at all. But the bath floor towel and bath towels are regular terry cloth material so that worked fine.
The room also have strong AC which is a huge plus after being outside sweating all day in over 90 degrees heat.
Hotel has water refill station at the lobby (charming decor and comfortable seating). There is also a nice courtyard seating connected to the breakfast room which will be enjoyable during cooler months. All in all, we enjoyed our stay!

We had a great time staying at the wonderful hotel! First of all, it's conveniently located near to the station, and the employees were welcoming. The rooms are lovely, cozy, and spotless. They provide excellent customer service; in fact, one of their employees, Matteo, noticed that we were leaving early the following day even though we had already paid for breakfast. He assured us that our breakfast would be ready for us to eat before we boarded the train the following day. That's excellent customer service! Additionally, they brought our suitcase to the room and picked it up before we left!
Without a doubt, I would strongly suggest this hotel! I would come back here!!!
