You won't find a lot of frills here as it is not that type of place. The hosts are amazing and very kind, and will try and accommodate you as best as they can. The rooms are basic and clean, though brother Bob seems to be the plumber/repair person. Don't let that stop you and save money to go shopping and out to eat! Amazing vintage location, and we will be back!

The motel is in a great location for visiting Carlsbad. You can walk to beach or into town. We visited Legoland, the mission, the beach, and Leo Carrillo Historic Park. The room was spacious. Parking was good. Full size fridge, good channels on TV. I wish that there had been Kleenex, hand soap, and conditioner. Best to bring your own stuff for this place. Bedspread had a hole and stained. Ants in the bathroom. Some of the items in the room looked old. Patches on the wall. Place probably needs to be updated.

Great location by downtown Carlsbad and Oceanside. Can hear traffic noise if noisy car drives by and next door neighbor if they're noisy but otherwise is quiet. Good price for the location. Single story worked out since we had bikes. No sink in kitchen area so used nearby bathroom sink but nice having fridge and microwave. Bathroom only has toilet and shower. Will return.
