Simply cannot say enough good things about the George and the staff there! A wonderful old building so there are some oddly shaped corridors as you'd expect but they only add charm to what is already a fabulous location and venue. The room was clean, comfortable and I felt right at home the moment I got there. All the facilities you can expect in a hotel room. Bed was comfy, sheets were clean. The bathroom was clean and well put together given the limited space available. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and there was no shortage of options to suit everyone. I had the eggs benedict and felt set up and ready for the day ahead. But most of all the staff were exceptional. All were friendly, helpful and really easy to approach with queries. In particular they went out of their way to help me, nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend this place to anyone and would be happy to come again!

Our room was nice & clean, bedding & towels also nice & clean, the staff were nnice, friendly & helpful, breakfast was lovely with plenty to choose from, cereals, toast to a variety of cooked options

lovely quirky inn from the 1600's the room was very welcoming, music on, lights on, water available and a very comfortable bed. and a very clean room. i had fish & chips dinner from their restaurant. my only complaint (and i did mention to the inn) was the silvery skin was left on the fish & it wasn't cod. for me that was a turn off, but the rest was very good. they can make you several types of coffee drinks and there is a full bar. the really nice thing is that you can have your food in several locations around the inn. it's not like a set restaurant - there are 3 rooms with comfortable seating where you can eat; you don't have to feel odd eating by yourself. it's in a good location so if you are wondering how to get to stonehenge they have a list of taxis at their desk who will take you, even for the early morning entry. just call as soon as you can, it's around 20 euros to go. parking is available if you drive there. the staff was very helpful, answered questions without being rushed and were very proud of their historic inn.

Although my room was small it had everything you could need for a stay. The choices for breakfast were poor. I have a sulphite intolerance so I couldn’t have anything with grape based products in. Many of the cereals were therefore out for me and the rest were more for children. No fresh fruit apart from a fruit salad which also has grapes in it. All the staff were great and very helpful. Drinks in the bar a bit overpriced but plenty of choice. Generally we enjoyed our stay.

Room was very clean and more than suitable. The bar was had a good range however, asked for a Irish coffee made with whiskey and it was undrinkable But would definitely stay again

Spacious and clean rooms. Staff welcoming and food good. Would return.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff and good breakfast. Decent shower, comfy bed, and a coffee machine in the room is a nice touch.
