Fantástico We love our visits to Paradise Point!

Abaixo da média We stayed in room 206. The outside door light made it extremely bright in the room at night. My basic hotel requirement of getting a good night’s sleep was not meant. Understand the outside light is needed for safety reasons, but the hotel should install blockout shades/blinds for the window next to the door.
The beach & restaurants are publicly accessible through the resort. The access is not gated or restricted to resort guests. Which is great for all, but the resort is not properly managing this. At check in the front desk said we did not need wristbands to access the pools, only our room key. At the main pool, the pool manager questioned if we were staying at the resort. After I showed him our key, he gave us paper wristbands and said we needed to keep the same one on for the duration of the stay. Other resorts we’ve stayed at handed out wristbands at check in and gave different colored bands for each day. We were not asked to keep the same one on everyday, since they usually get wet and sticky from sunscreen spray. During our stay, I noticed he asked other guests about their wristbands as well.
After check in, when we got to our room, non-guests parked their golf cart in half of our reserved parking spot. We were unable to park in the spot we were paying for. By the time the hotel security arrived, the golf cart had left already.

Abaixo da média Room was ok, but could use some maintenance. Toilet didn’t flush properly. Had to hold down flush button, to get a proper flush, toilet needs to be secured, rocks back and forth. Caulking of toilet is sloppy, walls needed patching and painting in some areas. Bath exhaust fan didn’t work. Drapes had stains on them. The overall appearance of the hotel looks old and many areas in need of maintenance and repair. Very disappointing for the amount we paid per night as well as $49 per night resort fee.

Abaixo da média I stayed at Paradise Point more than ten times more than ten years ago. I loved the property back then but it has gone downhill. I recommended Paradise Point to another couple joining us on our recent vacation. I was so excited embarrassed when they told me how dirty and run down their room was. My room was equally disappointing. I notified Paradise Point about our recent displeasure and they brushed it off. Don’t waste your money. Look for another hotel San Diego. I tried to call the front desk from my room to report my concerns and the phone went straight to voicemail. I thought the hotel would have been more receptive to my feedback but I was wrong.

Bom The resort has a lot of amenities. The pool is nice and has shallow areas for kids and babies. However, peoples dogs were also in the pool. The access to the beaches was close and not overcrowded. There were small crustaceans that did bite in shallow water, not ideal for babies as it leaves welts and can causing minor bleeding. The hotel rooms overall were spacious, had good A/C and a comfortable bed. But the tiles in the bathroom had mold on the floor and the furniture was broken or water damaged. We did ask for a baby bed/pack n play and was told it was added to the reservation but upon checking in we did not have one, nor did we ever recieve one. If you order room service the food will come quickly but expect to pay a pretty penny, (nachos, salad, kids pizza and a dessert) cost over $120 and this included a $6 delievery fee plus 21% mandatory tip for kitchen staff, still expected to tip again for delievery. The restaurants on the water have a great view, and the morning café at tidal wave was a good option for a quick breakfast. When you arrive there is free public parking but if you bring a car you are told you have to pay $50 per day for assigned parking even if you ask to park in free parking. There is a $50 per day resort free plus taxes for transient, ca tourist and sd tourist. The garden view rooms give you a view of parked cars and bushes. Overall, if you're willing to pay for the more expensive rooms and stay longer than a few days it may be a better experience.

Fantástico Great spot for families, the pool was perfect for relaxing and the gym is well equipped. Grounds were beautiful and lots of wildlife around. Clean rooms and ice cold AC. The parking charge was a surprise to us.
