Loved this place and the people. It is a little far from main attractions, Salisbury and Stonehenge. About 10-15 miles. But it is so charming. Food is fantastic and building is historic. Be sure to have right converters for plugging things in as there are no USB ports in the rooms. No AC and we arrived during a short heat wave. Bed very comfortable and the soaking tub in the room was great for cooling down.

Dog and Gun is a place that I would visit again. From the pub food to the personal service, I can’t commend the staff enough. They were all so lovely. We were escorted to our room, given an orientation and then provided fresh milk and cookies. There were also things in the room set up that were customized to our group. So many small touches that made the stay feel personal. It was a great experience.

A perfect little country pub with rooms. Very friendly staff, small but comfortable room, good en-suite. Food excellent, throughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend .

Fantástico What a great place to stay. We came with our cockapoo, great parking, lovely clean room, with everything we and our cockapoo needed. Real good attention to detail.. great cookies too.
Then had dinner and delicious wine

Stairs to the rooms were quite steep but the room was great. Comfortable bed and lovely to have fresh milk and homemade cookies. Unfortunately the shower could do with some attention as water was really slow to run away.Good selection at breakfast, staff were friendly and very accommodating. Could do with either cleaning or replacing the carpet on stairs and landing as it’s very stained and does them no favours in terms of appearance. Overall great stay and would recommend.
