O nosso guia turístico Jimmy foi muito simpático e também fala muito bem inglês. Ele tem um vasto conhecimento não apenas sobre a história da Cidade Proibida, mas também sobre a história da China. Gostámos muito do passeio; o Jimmy tornou-o muito mais esclarecedor e interessante do que se fôssemos por conta própria. Ele também nos ajudou a tirar fotos lindíssimas! Recomendamos vivamente o Jimmy como guia.

Amazing private tour with Mumu! Thank you very much for the very informative 6-hour tour. Worth every minute of it. It’s also great to do this at our own pace since it’s a private tour. Highly recommended especially with Mumu!

We had an excellent day touring the Forbidden City with our tour guide Jack. He spoke really good English and was really knowledgeable about the history of the Forbidden Palace and of China in general. As he was really good we decided to tour additional places with Jack to the Great Wall, Longqing Gorge and Ming Emperor Tomb. We thoroughly enjoyed all of it and learnt a lot of China history through him. We would highly recommend Jack to anyone who is interested in Chinese history.

Maria is a fantastic guide! my mother and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour; she is knowledgeable and considerate. she brought the history and stories of the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square to life!

Ótimo inglês e conhecimento da Cidade Proibida, o que tornou tudo o que vimos muito mais interessante e significativo. Ele também adaptou o passeio às nossas necessidades (pulamos a Praça Tiananmen por causa da multidão). Great thanks to Andy, our private tour guide! He made our visit to the Forbidden City exceptional with his deep knowledge and was engaging throughout. He skillfully navigated us through the historical site, explaining the history of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Highly recommended for an informative and enjoyable tour.

The traffic was horrendous and we would probably have been faster walking there but having the car meant we were able to leave our bag in it and avoided longer queues at security checks. The guide was very knowledgeable and understood very fast what we were most interested in and what we were fine skipping if it meant also avoiding the crowd. We managed to make good time and saw many things while staying away from the large tour groups. The guide (Vivian) gave us many information and answered all our questions, even checking with local security the only time we managed to ask a question she didn't have an answer for straight away (about the technique used for a specific furniture inthe Ming Dynasty furniture's section, really a niche question tbh)! She also helped us plan how ee were going to get to our next planned visit and arranged for the car to drop us at a convenient subway station.

We have two kids (5 & 8 yo) with us and decided to book a 4 hour tour to Tiananmen and the Forbidden City. Andy was our tour guide today. He was personable and informative. He met us at our hotel and gave us a run down and accurate expectations prior our tour. He predicted the wait into Tiananmen would be 1 to 2 hours even with reservation and kindly advised to skip tiananmen to max out our time in the Forbidden City and in Jingshan park. We decided to wait it out for Tiananmen and the queue was about 1 hour 15 mins as Andy said. Andy was eager to show us as much as he could but too bad the little feet wouldn't catch up due to the crowds and heat. Regardless, we had a great time and Andy definitely made the experience much smoother and more pleasant for our family. Thank you!

I had Jack as my guide. His English is very good and he was informative, polite and caring, always reminding me to watch out of potential holes on the floor as we walked through the Forbidden City. The only thing I would say to improve is to organise more breaks as after all it is a 6 hour tour. Othwrwise definitely worth to do it as walking through old buildings and areas without a guide would be less interesting.

We had a great experience at the private walking tour. We went to the Tiananmen Square and then to the forbidden city. Our tour guide was Lucy. She was extremely helpful, patient and accommodating. We were travelling with 2 small children in tow which added to the challenge. Lucy was able to predict the situation and preempted us on what was to come. She also provided alternatives along the way whenever the situation changed. We managed to see more than what we expected on this tour. Thank you!
