Due to the motel being renovated I was upgraded to a superior king spa room. Room was clean and comfortable. Air conditioned and good size room with microwave, tea/coffee making, cutlery/crockery and bar fridge. Pool look good although I was too busy out seeing the sights to try it out. The parking was sufficient although motel wasn't busy, so not sure if motel was busy. Main gate is closed from 6pm on weekdays and 5pm on weekends and guests do need to get out of car to open if going out and returning in the evening. Only thing I would suggest is to improve the lighting at front of motel if needing to return in evening as a code for side front gate needs to be entered to gain access and to open main gate. Suggest for future renovation to change the main entry gate to electronic opening gate with swipe card access, due to gate is a little awkward to move. In all motel is very close to supermarkets, Kmart is across the road. Good, clean budget accommodation for those that just want to rest their heads and spend time seeing the sights.

The hotel manger asked for $350 cash to hold in case of damages to the room. Upon check out he went through the room and found an empty soda bottle and a white croc sandal under the bed, neither of which were the guests, but took $50 from the cash held for the room because garbage was left. The room was $210 per night, I would expect this to include cleaning the room and removing garbage. He was handing out garbage bag to other guest making them clean their own rooms before leaving. All guests happen to also be Indigenous. I am not Indigenous and never in my well over 1000 stays in hotels have ever encountered this situation. In fact if something was left i would probably be contacted not charged $50. Don't stay here and support such racists behaviour. I will be taking this further.

Room lights not working, bedside lamps not working, black mould in the bathroom, cleanliness was average. Motel was under renovation and noisy throughout the day and night, and the bathroom had no exhaust so had to open the window or it would get full of steam to the point of not being able to breathe if taking a shower.

Needs updating. Room was clean but outdated. Outside was in need of attention Eg: alot of old mattresses & rubbish left out the back of some units. Some units had doors open and looking in, needed to be sorted/cleaned by staff.

We arrived shortly after 5pm and I called the number at the reception. The guy came past me no word got the envelope from a Tresor and passed it to me no explanation where the room is nothing. Almost said sorry for disturbing him. The room is spacious but in a lousy condition (toilet was leaking/ fridge was partially damaged aso) So if you stay for one night it’s maybe okay but don’t expect room service if you stay longer My tip take another motel
