Central location close to the Beacon, markets, restaurants and other food outlets, and pubs. Enclosed yard with tables and seating. Soft but comfortable bed. Quite tight bedroom and bathroom but OK. Great breakfast options. Just a little noisy into the early hours but England had just won at football!

A great central location with very helpful and welcoming staff on reception. The rooms were great and the B&B had a great feel to it. The courtyard was great in the early evening.
My only comment would be they need to update parking info on website. We had to pay for a full 48 and the web said a discount would apply. Website hadn't been updated since a buy out was explained.

My ground floor room had a marble wet room with ample toiletries - also a huge bed with a variety of pillows and there's a good sized television. Tea and coffee making facilities were well stocked including Yorkshire Tea. Decor was great. Hotel is perfectly located; the Beacon is a short walk away, restaurants just round the corner and St Nicholas Market is a few steps away. Yes, there's a lift to access those caravans on the roof.

Cosy, clean and quiet. Spent a lovely night at Brooks' with a small fountain gently bubbling outside my window, in a well-kept and extremely comfortable room. The bathroom was clean and tidy too. Super-central.
I didn't have breakfast but it looked great when I walked through as I left.
All the pictures give a good indication of the guesthouse, and the staff were really chilled and helpful. Great friendly service, and they wanted to make sure that everything was as it should be.
Heading back again for work this coming week, and looking forward to it.

Lovely boutique hotel. The room was comfortable though not big, but that was fine. The shower was slow draining so could be improved, but very happy and would stay here again.

Great central location in a quirky little back street. Could hear the nearby pub’s music with the windows open but wasn’t intrusive with window shut.

Good central location but also noisy (people and extraction fans from nearby establishments), Windows effective at keeping noise out but left room stuffy.
Cleaning could be stepped up. Shower head limescale / calcium build up. Dusty window shutters and lamps.
Bathroom with small sink made it difficult to use without getting water on floor.
Too many friction points to make this stay enjoyable. Would not recommend or return to.

Staff was great. Good location close to town center. Building was however quite old and room didn't have any AC - the fan in there was very handy so it's good that it was included. Room was however still very hot and struggled with sleeping there. Shower wasn't maintained as it made a weird squeaky noise from the hose when run.

Great Central location, with easy access to everything the city has to offer. We'll presented and clean rooms. The hotel ticked all our boxes for a long weekend city break.
