I just wrapped up a 10 visit to Shanghai, and spent my entire time at the Conrad Hilton property. I was pleased with the very central location in the city of the hotel, and from my 39th floor room I was more than happy with the sweeping city views, looking directly down on the green oasis of the People's Park. The elevator situation was a bit confusing to begin with (due to the unusual shape of the building), but that was soon sorted and I moved freely between the propertys facilities. The 10th floor pool provided sweet views of the surrounding neighborhood and the gym was good sized and open 24 hours a day, something I made frequent use of. My king suite was super comfortable and well appointed and I especially appreciated the city view desk and more than ample closet space- a must as I travel for many months per year. As for the staff I would like to take a moment to acknowledge and show my appreciation to the following folks- a huge thank you to (French national) Hugo in guest relations who helped me out in many ways and made the hotel feel like a home over my week+ stay, to (Thai national) Thena whose cheerful demeanor and daily greetings cheered me up immensely and (Chinese national) Rosemary the ever evervesant 'elevator lady' who guided guests and was a genuine hostess for the hotel and a bright personality who made many of the guests smile and happy as they descended to the lobby to begin their day- I thank you most sincerely, you made my visit a memorable one..

Clean room, safe location , convenient location.

Very solid stay and experience. Consistent with other Conrad’s around the world.

Breakfast had a vast variety; taste of limited vegetarian options could have been better. Was not impressed with the bakery freshness. Fruit was top notch. Rooms quite clean with standard wear and tear. Staff very friendly. Good overall location hence the price. Got given spa voucher for RMB200, turned out to be a discount on a RMB1980 massage. Wife asked for cafe for vegan cake for our anniversary; did not get much help; could not be arranged. First day we were not given special treatment for being Hilton Honours gold members at breakfast; second day they somehow remembered! Concierge was very very helpful. Food was easy to reach rooms when ordered via Mithuan app. Was charged RMB 98 each for each child’s swimming cap which was a rip off. (Had to buy 3) Toilet got blocked on first day first hour but got sorted instantly. Had connecting rooms arranged on 2nd day as there was a 2 hour wait on 1st day for connecting rooms with family of 6. Did not really get the upgrade I expected for being a Hilton’s Gold member. Paid hotel booking for breakfast although it was included in my Gold membership but was not reimbursed. Paid roughly 90£ extra for 2 days. Swimming pool not as big as it looks in pictures.

The staff (from front desk to cleaners) at Conrad was exceptional. The room looked a bit dated and the shower room could use some maintenance (ie replacing the silicone molding around the shower edges as it was starting to show mould stains) and the black out curtains needed to be replaced as it didn't black out the room. Other than those little issues, the room was big and clean. The cleaning staff were attentive and courteous whenever we saw them in the hallway. The location of the hotel was just off of Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street (20-50m) so very convenient. The metro station was also right around the corner so not far if you prefer to travel via the metro lines. No laundry facility at this location other than the usual drycleaning services offered as most hotels but this is very expensive. We ended up using Easy Life Laundry services as it was cheaper and quicker (usually a 24 hour turnover) to do our laundry and they provided picked up and delivery service from the hotel. The pool and gym facility was modern and big but one feedback is to provide a family room for families so that parents are not separated from young children. I was told my 5 year old son could not come with me to the female change room and that he would have to go through the male change room himself to get change and store his clothes, which was a no go for me. Luckily we already had our swim gear underneath our clothes so we were able to go straight to the pool and change there.

Got a upgrade and free breakfast for 2, excellent to stay with, good for view,shop,eat

Kind of crowded during breakfast but room was amazing. Perfect location.
