The staff is wonderful and accommodating. Bed was comfortable and bedding was nice and great condition. I do prefer a bed with more of a padded topper, but it’s fine for a few nights and at least it’s not hard as a rock. I definitely can’t sleep on super firm beds. The whole place is quite dated but they’ve done a decent job with maintenance and cleaning. The bed, table, and chairs are in good condition and cute style. The bathrooms can really use a remodel or at least some shower caulking in the units I’ve seen. Newer towels would also be great. Breakfast is pastries from a local bakery, but I couldn’t personally indulge due to gluten allergies. Overall, it’s a decent place to stay in the area, especially with free parking.

Our family of 4 felt very comfortable and truly enjoyed our stay at The Tangerine! The staff was incredibly friendly and thoughtful. The pool was heated and exceptionally well maintained, we had zero doubts allowing our kids to swim as we supervised from comfortable patio furniture. Amazing pastries and very easy to use espresso machine for a great boost to get you moving in the morning. They even have a little coffee maker in the room if you’re not feeling social. Can’t wait to be back!

We loved our stay here. The room had everything we needed and a highlight were the fresh pastries in the morning. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking was never an issue and the area was fairly quiet. Several restaurants and cafés in walking distance.

Starting with what is great...location, parking, and breakfast! Just a few things to know...if you are traveling with older kids, the family suite with the two twin beds is not really ideal for kids older than maybe 11. The two twins are put together to make a king against a wall (so one kid has to climb over another for any middle of the night needs). The room is cute and would be great for young kids. It's about a 30-minute walk to the waterfront and not too difficult with hills. Re: parking, just know you need to pull through a gate that isn't super obvious the first time you visit (and then you can't access the lobby until you get through the gate). The little courtyard is nice for breakfast. It's a solid choice for a San Fran visit.

Staff was super accommodating and friendly, also-awesome pastries in the morning and cappuccino/tea machine! It's really a nice place if you don't need a whole lot of bells and whistles. Perfect for our needs!

We liked the location. The area seemed nice and parking seemed secure. The staff was nice. The room was adequate. The breakfast would be good if you like pastries, but if you want a more traditional hotel breakfast look elsewhere.

The price was right, the property staff friendly, the room clean, free onsight parking, and the area safe and walkable with dinner and dessert options (we were there one evening). In the morning I did grab a complimentary pastry and coffee from the fancy machine. I did wake up with a sore back, but that seems to be every hotel bed these days… All in all, it was an easy, perfect place to stay! Would recommend.

Rooms were clean, compact but spacious. Bed was a little hard but nothing I couldn't handle lol. Free pastries in the morning in the lobby and they were fresh. Coffee machine made good coffee too. Close to everything. Will come back for sure.
