Our stay at this beautiful resort started well before our stay. Cindy reached out to confirm our time of arrival, provide directions and caution us on the local roads due to a rain storm that had just passed through. If that wasn’t enough, Cindy then messaged us back to confirm our lodging, advised us how to access the resort and get our selection for the next morning’s breakfast. All this occurred during our drive from Liberia to the Serenity Eco Lodge. Way above and beyond. Our accommodation was a mountain view unit. Very minimalist but welcoming. Less clutter is something I enjoyed. Wonderful and comfortable bed, nice sample from a local coffee company beside the coffee maker. Bathroom was very clean and very roomy. Unfortunately, I was not able to enjoy the property in its entirety due to illness. Again, Cindy stepped up to drive my wife into town to purchase some supplies. That evening, I wasn’t able to leave my room, a bowl of warm soup arrived. The next morning, it was time for us to leave. But not until we had enjoyed a delicious breakfast to send us on our way. Our visit to the Serenity Eco Lodge felt more like a visit to a friend than just another resort. I am looking forward to planning my next trip to Costa Rica and will definitely be planning a stay at the property and catching up with an old friend. Thank you Cindy for your kindness, understanding and support during our stay.

Cindy, the owner, was an excellent host. Very proactively engaged in our experience from the day we booked. The bungalows look into the forest and dining pavilion were new, modern, and well equipped. Cindy is also the chef, and serves and excellent breakfast and dinner. She also arranged activities for us, which was fabulous. The beds were comfortable and large, with an outside deck. The location is remote (which is the point of booking - for that tree canopy experience) and windy drive, so stock up on your own essentials! Thank you Cindy!

Cinti, the owner, is delightful & a great cook. Views are fantastic.

This lodging is a hidden gem away from Poas but close enough to get to the crater within 20 minutes. The views from the dining area were spectacular. The owner, Cindy, communicated clearly and often. She provided excellent directions to the property which is located high up on a hill in a residential area. The bedding was comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend Serenity Ecolodge for a stay near Poas Volcano. I have nothing but good things to say about the property especially the quietness and view.

Cindy (our host) was incredible! She was so responsive, accommodating and made my 30th birthday celebration so special! Highly recommend!!

Exceptional experience and outstanding hosts!

Serenity Ecolodge, which truly lives up to its name. Nestled in the lush mountains of San Pedro de Poás, this eco-retreat offers sweeping views of the forest and nearby Poás Volcano that feel straight out of a dream. The warm hospitality from the owners, who go above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit costa rica!

Amazing is an understatement. The hosts were very gracious, attentive, pleasant, informative, & over all the best host we have ever had the pleasure of staying with. The bungalow was very clean, bed was comfy and firm & necessary toiletries were provided & up kept. Even with no AC it got so cold at night that it wasn’t needed. It is very high up in the mountains, if you have never been to Costa Rica just be prepared for very steep, thin, one roaded roadways going up to the cottage. The views and peaceful surrounding make everything worth wild. Over all we recommend and look forward to returning here someday.

My wife and I stayed for a week and it was an incredible stay. We enjoyed every minute. Our hostess was everything you could ask for. The breakfast was amazing and the dinner was so good that we ate there every night. She was also very knowledgeable about the area which was great since we had no clue where anything was. I would highly recommend.

We arrived at the property late at night due to our arrival time. The owner was very helpful in helping us locate the property at night. The view was incredible, very quiet and serene. It gives “a cabin in the wood” vibe; I love the property.
