Upon arrival was told our reservation at the hotel was cancelled. They arranged an alternative hotel and offered transport. Was very upsetting and they should have contacted us prior to arrival so we could make other plans. The staff were surprised we were upset.... very strange.

Despite a family bereavement enforcing a change of plans three weeks prior to booked stay, this hotel refused to issue a refund. The hotel also advised that they were going to change the hotel location (to a different hotel in their portfolio) without any consultation. Due to the family bereavement issue, we could not stay with them, and frankly I'm glad we didn't.. It's abundantly clear this hotel prioritises cash over customers. Worst hotel chain ever - do not waste your money.

The original hotel was booked completely, and they upgraded us to the sister hotel, and I was amazed by the quality of the hotel and staff. I am really happy about it.

Expected a lot more. What annoyed me most was the condition of some of the things. The ironing board for example almost ruined some of my clothes. It was my birthday one day, and I wanted to iron a shirt for dinner. I asked for a new ironing board - but it never came.

The hotel’s location is just breathtaking. Staff was lovely and took care of everything really well. They even help us celebrate our anniversary and made our trip memorable. Had more than enough supply of amenities throughout our stay.

The room was good but very expensive. The biggest ripoff was the Ewan restaurant buffet. We booked for a la carte but at dinner they suddenly said buffet only. Stupid they didn't tell us the price but also we didn't ask. However $100 cad per person for a crappy mid buffet. Food was avg but not worth the price at all. Tourist trap extroadinanaire. Stay away. The hotel wouldn't do anything about their policies and their lack of explaining things. The service at the restaurant was also poor. It took forever to get our bill. Like I said I do blame myself for staying. Hotel ok otherwise. Just be prepared to spend a lot.
