This is my personal review, together with my wife on 15th Feb 2026 (Sunday) for 'Themed' hanbok & '4 hours' pass type. We have decided to engage with their professional photographer as an additional services, but of course with an extra fees, which i feel it's more worthwhile & strongly recommended to all who wishes to do phototaking in hanbok attire. Our photograper, Mr Taekwon Kang is very spontaneous, he who knows all & what he's done for both of us as couple on how to act & pose in differently to all places & locations inside the Palace. And he loves to take our photos romantically & requested us to kiss in almost every photographs. I thought that was cheeky but in a very good positive way in which me & wife were smiling & laughing at times. Back to the Hanboknam shop, the staffs who served us had patiently helped us with sincerity & dedication although they were all very busy serving to all the customers. Therefore, I would like to say thank you very much for everything.

Such a fun experience, if you enjoy history this a must do! I did the indoor photoshoot and very much enjoyed my time with the photographer! I got to choose my own skirt and top. If the size didn't work properly the staff helped me choose one that would work better! There were many add-ons you could choose if you wanted but it wasn't pushed on you! All up to what you wanted! Absolutely loved! Thank you!

The rental store offers a variety of hanbok, which made it harder for us to choose—because they are all so beautiful. Plus, the store is just across from the entrance of Gyeongbokgung Palace, so it's not a long walk. The costume can be a little uncomfortable to wear on a sunny day as they are made of silk, so a shorter walk to the palace helps for a less sweaty experience.

Convenient transportation, clean Hanbok, and a good selection. Reservations include free hair styling, and the staff are very friendly, proactive yet gentle.

The place is 1 min walk from the subway station, not crowded at all and all the staff were so friendly. They have quite a variety of hanbok which they will also help you choose, and also different hairstyles that you can choose from. Overall it was a really great experience and will totally recommend ☺️

Hanok Hanbok Rental has a wide selection of hanboks for both ladies and gentlemen in various colors. However, finding one for an American men's size 2XL is quite challenging. Jenny and her sister are incredibly helpful and friendly, and they speak excellent English. Cheongdokgeung Palace is the closest attraction, just a 5-minute walk from the rental shop. Thank you, Hanok, for the wonderful hanbok experience.

What an absolute delight! The lady who served us deserves 10 stars – she was helpful, thoughtful, and made sure we had a memorable experience. I highly recommend this place. We love watching K-dramas, and I even got to wear a hanbok from an actual show. It was raining and humid outside, but we were in air-conditioning, which made for such a wonderful experience ❤️😍

It seems direct visits are possible, but booking here offered a discounted price, which was a better deal! Even the lowest-tier course had a sufficient variety of cute skirts, but after seeing them in person, I found a skirt I liked in the next higher course, so I upgraded! (Upgrading is possible by paying an additional fee on-site!) I wore it! The VIP course above that had a luxurious feel, like a queen from a Korean drama, and I'd love to try it next time! I went with my husband, and there were many stylish options for men too. Apparently, the members of TXT rented their outfits from this hanbok shop, and it was possible to wear the same ones! There seems to be a wide variety of children's sizes too, so both adults and children can enjoy it! Bags were available for free rental! Hair styling also seemed to be available. It was reassuring to have staff who could speak Japanese, and all the other staff members were very kind! I want to go back and wear one again!!!
