We met the best tour guide, Anja, who explained everything in a humorous and detailed way! It was an English tour (and her English was easy to understand). Although there were no headphones or microphones, the guide would stop at each point and gather everyone around to explain. The tour started at 10:30 AM, with a 30-minute break after 2 hours (that day was Germany's coldest in a century, and Anja took us to a coffee shop to warm up and use the restroom). We disbanded around 3 PM. We constantly weaved through the city, and what seemed like ordinary buildings turned out to be full of historical significance. (It was originally a 4-hour journey, but Anja had so many stories to share that it ran a bit over). After this trip, I understood much more about the city of Berlin. I personally have watched many travel expert videos on YouTube, but actually participating in a tour (with a guide) provided a much deeper experience. I highly recommend this itinerary.

The scheduled three-hour tour ended up taking three and a half hours to complete. We visited most of Berlin's historically significant landmarks. In the middle of the tour, we also stopped at Humboldt University's Faculty of Law to rest (where you can buy coffee, use free restrooms, etc.). I highly recommend this tour; our guide, Maria, was also very enthusiastic. The only thing to note is that it was incredibly cold in early February, and the entire tour was outdoors, so you really need to wear plenty of layers. The tour guide, Waild, was fantastic! He's extremely helpful and cheerful, and has a great sense of humor too! The bus was great, but the driver was late and dropped us off at a different location than the tour guide expected, which was a bit funny. However, the tour guide made the most of it, even with the wrong drop-off point. Overall, it was a very full day with a lot of walking, but a good experience in general.

Such an educational experience! Rich stories behind those buildings, monuments, walls and many more! Our guide Simon F. was amazing. Took his time to explain the what, when, where, how and why of everything! He didn't rush us, patiently waiting for everyone to gather, and made sure everyone would not miss a thing. Simon F. is a storyteller. I got a different historical perspective of Berlin and of Germany because of this tour. Perfect tour itinerary. This tour is a must especially for first-time visitors.

After the tour, he personally escorted us back to the city center, staying until everyone was settled. This trip not only gave me a deep understanding of history but also filled my first day in Berlin with warmth and emotion.
