The first challenge of SCUBA diving can be a bit difficult, so it's important to first confirm the following safety points:
1. Aside from birth control pills and motion sickness medication, are you taking any other medications? (Some chronic medications may require a doctor's authorization before diving.)
2. After a single dive, you must wait 18 hours before flying.
Service Description:
1. The itinerary does not include transfers; you need to report to the pier on your own.
2. It is recommended to take motion sickness medication. If you don't have any, you can purchase it on board.
3. Simple breakfast and lunch are provided on the boat.
4. Wetsuits are available for rent.
5. Personal fins, diving masks, and lockers are provided, along with public life vests (for snorkeling).
From boarding to departure, you will first fill out a safety briefing and health questionnaire, and then the staff will introduce how to use the diving equipment. After the boat anchors, you can snorkel and free dive at the back of the boat, while SCUBA diving groups will enter the water separately. This itinerary stops at two dive sites.
For SCUBA diving, you will first practice alongside the boat, then the instructor will guide you hand-in-hand for the dive, typically at depths of 10 meters or more. However, for your first dive, you will not be allowed to bring photography equipment; a dive photographer will take pictures for everyone.
The staff are all very enthusiastic and helpful, and the Great Barrier Reef is definitely worth experiencing.
