I experienced the National Palace Museum Korean docent guide tour, 'Gogung Museum Day Tour,' which started at 10 AM on Tuesday (March 26th) through Klook, and it was truly one of the most satisfying and beneficial experiences of my life. In particular, the 'Chakan Tour' guide who led the session was incredibly knowledgeable and explained everything in an easy-to-understand manner, extending well beyond the scheduled two hours. I am truly grateful. My husband and I had to leave about 5 minutes early to attend the Shifen Sky Lantern Festival, but the lingering impression was profound. It was wonderful to hear explanations of Chinese history and the history of Korea's Gojoseon, as the guide's knowledge was much deeper than other guides. Especially, connecting the explanations to the museum artifacts made everything incredibly easy to grasp, making it a very enriching experience. I apologize for not being able to mention the guide's name in this review, as I didn't catch it clearly before the docent tour began. Nevertheless, my husband and I are truly thankful that we could start our first day tour in Taiwan so enjoyably, thanks to the guide. Above all, we were touched by the guide's passionate and tireless explanations for over two hours. If anyone I know plans to visit the National Palace Museum in Taiwan, I would highly recommend this guide. It was truly the best docent tour of my life.

Our second trip to Taiwan. We didn't get to visit a hot spring on our first trip, but this time, our whole family was very satisfied enjoying the Beitou outdoor hot springs. The outdoor bath at Spring City Hotel offers great value for money. Get off at Xinbeitou Station and walk up to Thermal Valley, enjoying the library and hot spring museum along the way. Finally, after enjoying the outdoor hot spring in a swimsuit at Spring City Resort, take the downhill shuttle to Beitou Station this time... The course was excellent! Highly recommended if you have time!

It was a wonderful retreat to relax and destress. Soaking in hot sulfur water was just what we needed.

Even though it was severely crowded with many visitors, the explanation of the museum artifacts, condensed as much as possible within a short two-hour period, was extremely helpful. It was especially good that they came prepared with many photos on a tablet, explaining even X-ray tomography images and artifacts not present in the museum.

They gave me extra stickers compared to buying on-site, but I had to enter the park first (showing the voucher at the manual gate to prove I was a visitor for the day), and then go to the exchange counter in the building on the left front to redeem them.

Definitely a cool experience to try if you need a break from the typical shopping / food market trips. It was well worth the money because aside from the box of pineapple cakes that you’re gonna bake, you also get a cup of tea, some other pastries, and a NTD 50 voucher for their bakeshop downstairs. Staff and instructors were multi-lingual and attentive as well. It was also fun conversing with the other participants.

Went on Tuesday late morning and the whole place was not packed with people. Room was well maintained and clean. Enjoyed the dip and view from room.
