Property was ok - was a very hot period - with more of those likely to come - invest in Air Conditioning -

The hotel is excelent location . The brekfast very good .

Daily temperature was very high but no air conditioning and no table fans available. No window screens so bugs come in at night if windows left open to lower room temperature. Suggest, owners supply every room with table fans and update windows to add screens.

Is easy to miss as satnav takes you to the carpark behind so beware its on the main road, staff directed us into the hotel via a phone call and opened the gate to parking, there were about 3 spaces left which were a little tight but managed it ( we didn't realise if booked direct it's free, £10 booking through 3rd party site ) but after checking in with the lovely receptionist was told as it was a Saturday and no check in on the Sunday we could leave our car as long as we wanted rather than at check out on the Sunday. Room was on 2nd floor it was quite warmup there as it was in at the top of the building but it was very clean and adequate for our one night stay, unfortunately only one cup was there for a double room and I'm sure if we had asked we could have another but we managed as we had bottled water due to the heat . The hotel was a very short walk into York and the minister an absolute ideal location, we loved York with its history and great shops and restaurants. The breakfast next morning was great , plenty full and the continental variety was fantastic . The staff were so friendly and your refillable coffee/ tea was never empty , Richard the server was just so lovely we had a good giggle with him when I got our room number wrong giving him 81 ( which was actually the table number at the pub the night before and had stuck in my head 😀) . I'd highly recommend the hotel on the grounds of location, friendliness, cleanliness and food , I would book again

Good location for the centre. Breakfast good. Staff very pleasant and helpful. We stayed 3rd floor up, which might be harder walking 50 odd stairs for people with disabilities. £10 per day parking. Once there don't loose your spot and left it there during our stay.We hada great time there, good exercise for the Minster tower stair climb.

Amazing location walkable to the old town of York and Munster church, friendly staff and also close to the train station, spacious room. Only issue was the lack of air flow and/or air conditioning in the room and the very loud noise from the street, otherwise the location makes putting up with the street noise worth it.

Hotel is just 5 minutes walk from the Cathedral and city walls walk. Split into a few different blocks of the two storey building , my room on the second floor was opposite the car park at the back . £10:per night to park in the gated yard, with lots of spaces. My room was fine , double bed , bath and shower , large screen tv. Plenty of tea and coffee in the room , and more delivered daily. Didn't have the breakfast as I thought £12.50 per day too expensive Staff were great especially the lady who checked me in early, though the room wasn't ready, I had a walk around York for a couple of hours and when I returned my bags had been taken to my room.

Nice hotel great location, 5-10 minutes from York centre, clean room spacious, freshly cooked breakfast all good quality ingredients can’t fault it. Will definitely stay again, car park is safe and secure (limited spaces)
