Fruit container had a rotten strawberry on top that squashed on fruits below. Nats in room likely because of fruits. Long hair in multiple places in bathroom. Mini fridge was purely horrible, not stable on a square base. Fell of that base every time I opened the door…. For $300 on a room, I expect way better setup than what we got. Cleaner bathroom… but rotten food?!? Seriously… told guy at checkout, and he and woman working next to him laughed… though it was funny. Never paying this much to have this…. I have usually paid 1/2 of that in so many cities for twice the space, better fridge with freezer. A real bathroom that tiny. Just disappointed in so many ways. No free breakfast, $35 for buffet per person. I got two breakfast for less on a 12 min walk.

Location, location, location. Steps to Boston common and a few blocks from the esplanade. Walkable to Faniel Hall, The Greenway, North End, ETC. The room was small but reasonably priced. It was clean and had all the amenities you would expect. One major knock, I paid extra for a city view? See attached photo of said "city view". Next time I'll save the 30.00 and buy 2 martinis at their bar. I am lucky that I have free parking nearby, you will be on the hook for around 40.00 a day.

Despite paying extra for a bigger room - they are really really small. The toilet / shower is so awkward to navigate in such a small space! The smallest room I’ve ever stayed in! Room was not cleaned the first day - so we had to call down for spare towels. Second day we requested a room clean before leaving - came back and it hadn’t been done so had to request new towels again. We called down the third day and told them it had been 3 days since anything had been changed and they did eventually do it. Location of the hotel was the best thing about it - great to access all areas of the city.

The hotel itself and the location was awesome. The room itself had literary no space. That in itself was very hard to get around. Coffee pot was on the low shelf with nowhere to move it up to. My poor husywas on his hands and knees making a cup of coffee. But they did have a bottle opener on the inside of the bathroom door 😳

The location of this hotel could not be more perfect. It is so close to the T (subway), shopping, and restaurants. I felt incredibly safe in the location as well. The staff here went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Devon at the front desk is absolutely AMAZING! She went out of her way to make sure my daughter’s 16th bday trip was perfect. The ability to text and ask questions of the hotel and get an immediate reply was so helpful. Yes the hotel is a little older and the rooms are small, but I loved the decor and character. Surprisingly the elevators are crazy fast and we never had to wait around to get to our floor.

Very nice and welcoming staff. Beautiful lobby and bar in the hotel but the rooms could use some upgrades. Perfect location near the public garden and common.

Our room (two queens) was small, but the location is great, being very close to the train station, excellent dining/shopping options, and the Boston Common. Had many friendly interactions with staff - concierge, gift shop, cleaning crew, etc. Would stay here again.
