Staff were very helpful, they were able to provide us with a lot of information on the area. There was no parking at the hotel so we had to leave our vehicle at a paid parking lot about 10 minute walk away (closest one) it cost me £80 ($150CAD) which was an unexpected expense. The breakfast was lacklustre but it’s better than no breakfast which is the norm. An FYI for those travelling with kids, there is no elevator as it is an old building so be prepared to carry your things. The staff were helpful in that we were able to leave our stroller in the lobby and they helped lug our stuff to the 3rd floor.

We turned up at mid day just to leave our bags there. We were told our room was ready so up we went to a very large bedroom! Very rarely do we get such an early check in so well done to the staff and reception. The hotel is situated in a quiet road about 15 a minute walk into the city. So ideal really. I would recommend this hotel for all the above reasons.

It’s an old building so I understand it can be difficult to maintain, but it needs a good cleaning, the furniture is shabby and dirty and needs to be replaced. There is no elevator so if walking stairs is an issue at all don’t book here. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was definitely a bit dated but clean and comfortable. Given the age of the property the hotel was great! Definitely would stay again.
