While the staff was friendly and helpful when a saw a large cockroach in my room, and they did change my room, I did not have a lot of confidence in the cleanliness of the hotel. The breakfast was substantial, considering it was complementary.

Room was clean so can't fault them on that but it's a very dated hotel. It is okay just for sleeping in as the location is extremely convenient, right opposite Shin-Yamaguchi station so easy to get to locations such as Hagi Castle Town and Akiyoshido Caves.
Free Breakfast was included but the offerings were basic in my opinion so I didn't go back after the first day.

Great hotel, very clean and well maintained.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Great location next to Shin-Yamaguchi Station.
