Not luxury but nice nonetheless! Stunning view of Sigiriya Rock from the bar and pool. Morning buffet was fine. Did not have the evening buffet as just ordered a la carte. There are some nearby dining options but need to take a taxi or tuktuk at night because of elephants.

Room was dated (peeling paint, beat up furniture), dusty. Location is good but for the price and rating in the area one might expect more.

Staff are nice specially the ones who are not in the restaurant. Hotel is very beautiful in very nice environment. Live music at nights, cute Christmas decorations all great. Food is relatively good (we tried breakfast and dinner and they were delicious). Needs improvement: For 2/4 nights of our stay we had lizards in our rooms (2 rooms, one constantly had in the other one we saw one day). Ultimately they changed one of our rooms for the second night with lizards but overall experience was severely impacted. Also at the buffet for both breakfast and dinner they tend not to refill the food and strangely before 1hr of the end time they comfortably say oh we don’t have xxx!

Much nicer than photos show! The pool surrounds and bar area were lovely, perfectly framing Sigiriya Rock. The dining area and breakfast was excellent. The bed was comfortable. The shower was a little awkward to negotiate but overall fine. Staff were very friendly.

Breakfast was buffet style and was included in our room rate. Very good lots of choices. Pool was great with a fantastic view of lion rock. We were a couple and only saw a couple of children in the pool, lots of tour groups eating in the restaurant. We had the buffet dinner and found it good value 4500sri rupees
