A convenient location near the train station with good facilities including an onsen. The breakfast is simply amazing with a focus on local seafood that is so fresh and tasty. You can build your own seafood rice bowl for breakfast, there is freshly shaved kombu, tasty ramen etc. Probably one of the tastiest breakfast we have ever had. There is parking but the car park just outside the hotel has limted spaces. Thankfully, the hotel has an arrangement with a nearby car park for the same price so parking shoud not be an issue.

The room is clean and the breakfast is really good. The spa is nice.

Door does not provide enough sound dampening - can be very noisy in the morning when people walk along the corridor Needs black out curtains in the room - it gets very bright in the morning

The location is convenient. Near to one supermarket. You can walk to the morning market. We like the bus service. You can have timetable and the time control is brilliant. The onsen is not a big one but the common room space is a good idea.

Close to JR station, nice and clear

We are going to start our review a little differently this time. We are rating this a strong 4.5/5: the hotel was a different experience for our other Northern Japan ones: the room with its furnishings was creative by using the theme of exploring & discovering Hakodate: really well done. Our room was big enough for the two of us with a lovely king bed, chairs, a table, bench, fridge & unlimited accessories to be had, like their green tea which you could pick up downstairs. We didn’t get to have a meal in-house as there were so many wonderful eating experiences to be had on the streets & markets. TIP: there is a large grocery store just around the corner: magnificent! We went there many times: their bakery food is devine. The hotel has a free shuttle bus which will take you to all sorts of places at designated times during the day & night: make sure you book it quickly: it fills up quickly. Remember that you are in Japan; when they say a bus, train, etc will leave at a specific time, it does, not earlier nor later. We were up on 11th floor of 13, with a brilliant night view over Hakodate Harbour: before we forget, the shower room is amazing: you can have a shower whilst viewing out the big windows: very private & a nice touch. Also, the facilities are amazing: great places to relax in out of your room, with one part having food/drink sales. Really well set out. The hotel is very central to everything. Location is great and the room is clean, breakfast is the best.

Was quite taken aback by the many poor earlier reviews. Felt the hotel is reasonable for a 3 n half star. Rooms a bit tight but cormfotable and equipment new
