The property was very relaxing and tranquil. The staff was friendly and took good care of us. The morning breakfast was delicious and had a variety of things my picky palate liked. The only drawback is the steps to get to the beach. You need to be in relatively good shape to make it there. Otherwise, no complaints.

Room was a little tight with a family of 4. Also laundry machines don't dry well, it can take 2hrs to dry cloths.

Stayed with my partner, and the entire area of Shimoda is so charming. If you want to experience a taste of the natural flora and fauna of Japan, this place is it. The staff were accommodating, helpful and kind, and the restaurant was excellent for a taste of the local cuisine. Great gems to be found nearby. My only recommendation is to rent a car for this area, as there’s so much to see but not all in walkable distances.

Onsen is small but has an amazing sea view. The restaurant is extremely expensive, they have a vegan set menu but also extremely expensive. Massively more expensive than anything else in the area. Some lovely restaurants nearby so best just to skip the hotel restaurant completely.
