Rinn Niomon is a hotel-style accommodation with a total of 14 rooms that is located in Niomon-cho, about a 5-minute walk from Higashiyama Station on the municipal subway line. This is near where the Lake Biwa Canal flows and is close to the Okazaki area, which is a popular tourist destination in Kyoto. The Lake Biwa Canal, which was built in the Meiji period (1868-1912), aided the development of industry in Kyoto's early modern period and gave the city a new vitality. Today, it is an important industrial heritage site that is still in use. The interior is based around the Lake Biwa Canal, and aims to be a modern Japanese space where you can feel the flow of water through the colors and patterns used. Also, the corridors on each floor have a carpet motif that is inspired by the Keage Incline, which played a key role in transit of goods along with the Lake Biwa Canal. In addition, many of the guest rooms feature a tatami mat space, and Simmons brand beds are used in all guest rooms. After exploring the Okazaki area, take some time to relax and unwind here.
