Fantastisch We had a very pleasant stay. The staff was helpful and accommodating. The property is old and has a traditional Japanese feel which I like as it reminds me of a house I used to live in. I particularly enjoyed the outdoor Onsen.

Excellent service and attention! If you're looking for an authentic japanese bathhouse experience, this is the place! Reserve dinner in advance (2 days) in case your reservation doesn't have it. Breakfast was fantastic! Only minor detail was a cockroach showing up in my room late at night.. not sure where it came from but hid in the closet.

Fantastisch Can’t say enough good about the staff. This place was such a fun experience. We did three nights and maybe we should have done just two only because of the futons on the floor and we’re not as young as we use to be. Also, if I had one minor suggestion it would be for them to have a means to get coffee on site. I totally get it’s an experience and they have tea but for us coffee drinkers.. we gotta have it! Lol

Yokikan was great. If you're uncertain about staying at a traditional Japanese Onsen hotel, this place is for you. We were given very good advice about what to do or not do, how to use an Onsen etc . If you're unsure about being naked with strangers, we opted for the room with a private onsen. The private onsen was great but it's not the same as a public one. I recommend trying the public one, open air, at least once during your stay.

Service was above and beyond, the owner gave us all of the details and important pieces of information at the beginning. Our room was super clean and welcoming. The Food, & Onsen were spectacular. Especially after a long day of walking and exploring. Would come again!

Amazing hotel, super cozy onsen, comfortable environment, friendly staff, and excellent hotel service.
We stay at the hotel for 2 nights. The front desk staff speaks very good English, and they will patiently introduce you all services (especially the onsen) they provide, all local spots you can visit.
They upgraded our room without any extra fees. The room is traditional Japanese tatami, it’s spacious, clean and very cozy. The room we have has a very good view from the window that you can see the city. Living in this room really gave us a full excellent experience of traditional Japanese lifestyle.
The onsen place they have in hotel is well maintained, clean, and super comfortable to enjoy. They provide every bath-product that you don’t need to worry about. The top level open-air onsen is fantastic. Highly recommend to try the open-air onsen.
They delivered our dinner and breakfast on time. The half-board meal is so good, basically all local good food.
The day we checked out, the owner gave us a free ride to the Ito train station. Really appreciate it.
I would highly recommend to stay at Yokikan if you are looking for a traditional onsen hotel

We had a great time at Ito Onsen Yokikan. It was a unique experience of Japanese traditional room, hot spring and cuisine. Definitely recommended.
