The place was great and clean. It has a balcony overlooking the river, and although you won't see the sunrise, you can watch the sky change colors in the morning. It was beautiful. The breakfast was great too. They had eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and you could make your own waffles. The food was warm, and the property was clean. It's also within walking distance of downtown Gatlinburg, where you'll find shops, restaurants, and attractions.

The places was very convience and the views were beatiful.

The river balcony was the main attraction. Good location spot with free trolly to Gatlinburg downtown. Room is clean but we did see one cockroach in the bathroom when we check in. Even thought they renovated the room but the building itself is still old. Staff member are unfriendly.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a double bed room with small fridge and microwave which overlooked the creek. Our location was convenient to several walking points in Gaitlinburg (less than 10 min walk to Anakeesta) and a quick drive into Pigeon Forge. Staff was not overly friendly at check in or during breakfast service. I had to ask questions about where and when breakfast was, also with where we could park, etc - nothing was explained without asking. Office and breakfast staff didn’t smile or say hello any of the days we were there. The cleaning staff however were friendly as we passed them. Overall we had a nice stay and would consider returning if we are in the area.

Great place to stay in Gatlinburg. Having a balcony on the River was refreshing after shopping all day. Loved our stay. After this visit, we’ll always stay at Baymont by Windom on the River.

Cute little motel with adequate parking. About 1/2 mile north of downtown Gatlinburg. Room was updated and clean. It was a little difficult to cool down. Balcony overlooking the river was nice. Door to outside definitely lets in street traffic noise. I thought this would be manageable, but the door connecting our room to our neighbors was basically cardboard. There was zero noise protection. We left in the middle of the night because we could not get any sleep. If you are a sound sleeper, great spot!

Very nice rooms with balcony on the river. Good choice to be out of the congestion of the main street in Gatlinburg. Parking is a little tricky. Would recommend parking on the lower level.

The room was clean but very small. The balcony was amazing overlooking the water. I kept asking the name of the waterway and no one could tell me. The breakfast was good but we had a hard time getting there on time, before 9:30am so only partook 1 out of 3 days. Staff could not help with any info about area attractions or directions. They all may have been new to the area or didn't speak good English. I usually rely on hotel staff to help us with recommendations or directions. Many areas of the hotel were poorly or not air conditioned, like the elevator. Lobby was tiny. Otherwise the stay was good.

If you’re looking for a hotel that will make you question every life decision that led you there, congratulations—you’ve found it. The Baymont by Wyndham in Gatlinburg was an absolute disaster from the moment we arrived. The front desk staff acted like we were interrupting their day simply by checking in. Every interaction was met with attitude, eye rolls, and complete disrespect. Hospitality clearly isn’t part of the job description here. The room was so tiny you practically had to step outside to change your mind. It smelled like decades of moisture had been trapped in the walls, with a musty odor that hit you the second you opened the door. Everything felt old, neglected, and in desperate need of renovation. The most alarming part of the stay was the river-side walkway. The railing was loose enough that I wouldn’t have trusted it to support a backpack, and the concrete around it was cracked and crumbling. It’s hard to believe something in that condition is still open to guests. It felt genuinely unsafe and should be repaired before someone plummets to their dea The only thing this hotel has going for it is its location, which is unfortunate because you have to stay in the hotel to enjoy it. There are countless better options in Gatlinburg that actually value their guests and maintain their property. Save yourself the frustration, spend your money somewhere else, and let this place serve as a reminder that not every hotel deserves your business. I certainly won’t be ma
