The staff were great, but the only down fall to the stay was the AC didn’t work at all. The whole stay. Also there were no fridges or microwaves in the room which I didn’t really care, but also wasn’t aware. Also housekeeping was okay, didn’t dust but did change bedding and towels.

Fantastisch

Verbleven bij familie

On our trip to Europe which included eight different countries, this was by far the BEST hotel we stayed in! While the parking was less than desirable, Daniel at the reception was kind and helpful in recommending public parking near the hotel for us. The room was amazing, the breakfast which was included, was the best we had in Europe and the location was very convenient to the old town and the train station. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Switzerland.

Room was a good size but rather hot. Apparently, a/c system was in winter mode. Opening windows was rather noisy from street/people activity. Excellent breakfast. Even though coffee machine in room did not always work properly, a staff member came to look at it immediately. Very nice staff. No restaurant, other than for breakfast. There was a bar, but it was not open on Sunday. Very good location for visiting St Gallen by foot and very close to station.

Verbleef bij vrienden

Very quick and easy check in. We got the room we asked for, higher level and twin beds. Very clean, compact but functional room. Nespresso and tea in the room. Great buffet, full trays, warm, always refilled. Easy to leave our luggage at reception. Very well located accross from the train station, and just a few minutes walk from the old town and attractions. Free bus pass for the two days. Would stay again without hesitation.

What a great hotel within walking distance from the train station. Nice, inviting lobby. The staff were excellent. Room was very comfortable, and loved the bathroom. Most are very small in Switzerland, this was very nice. Big shower with a rain shower and wand. Sink was a little slow to drain. Breakfast had a variety of choices. Excellent stay after 20 days solo traveling around Switzerland.

Hotel Walhalla was such a beautiful and clean hotel. The staff were so nice and accommodating. I stayed one night and found the room to be very spacious, clean, and updated. The location is very convenient as it is right across from the tram stops and the train station making it very easy for travelers like myself. It’s also super close to some main attractions like the Abbey Library which was only a 9 minute walk. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and was complimentary with the stay. Would definitely stay here if you are looking for a very nice and safe hotel in St. Gallen.
