Terrific rooms, lovely breakfast and helpful staff.

This is a really good option for Unawatuna. It is set above the road (quite busy) and is an oasis of well designed chalets and the main the building. The pool is fantastic. Breakfast is available and we were told by guests that it was very good. The staff are wonderful. Friendly and very helpful. The rooms are spotless. The tuk tuk is always available to get from the front gate - many steps and quite steep if you decide to walk it (I did!). There are two large tortoises and two dogs on site. Only two slight negatives for me - the barking of the dogs (not all the time!) and no hot water tap on the sink - a very good shower though. There are many good restaurants within easy walking distance. We recommend The Bar and Black and White (both across the road and on the beach).

A hotel with a nice view. Run a little like a homestay with a friendly host with 3 dogs. Main issue, and I'm surprised no one has mentioned it, is that there is a steep climb up the driveway. Taxis will not get up it ! The hotel provides a tuk-tuk shuttle to get bags etc as well as a courtesy lift whenever you press the bell (up to 9pm). Not a place to stay if you have bad knees. I did think the hotel was pricey for what we got. Pool is simple but we loved it . Food was lovely too. However. WiFi is weak in the room.

Nice hotel very clean price ok for the area good bfast service superb very helpful only downside is the steep hill from the road to the hotel but they have a bell on the gate post and a tuk tuk will take you up Once on site the views are fantastic and the infinity pool is an added bonus

It is a nice hotel even though the entrance way is ugly. The staff are very pleasant, especially the gentleman who checked us in and served us breakfast. We didn't get the same warmth from the owner. The 'free toiletries' was a small bar of soap but this seems to be the case in a lot of the cheaper hotels. We stayed in the deluxe double room which while nice, wasn't deluxe. The bathroom window also backed onto to an area where bottles were discarded and it was easy for someone to see in. The hotel has a lovely clean pool with a great view. The breakfast was lovely.
