Well equipped, rooms are spacious and helpful staff.

The staff were extremely helpful. The room was great for a family, loved the kitchen facilities and how spacious the apartment was. Parking was easy but also so close to public transport and supermarkets.

The apartment is fully equipped for cooking which is good. But they dont check to see if the stuff is cleaned between visitors as we had to reclean a lot of things before we could use them. The bath tap didn't work so we had to use the shower head with no pressure to fill the bath up. Interenet didnt work, there isnt enough power points to charge anything. The photos show really modern but its quiet run down and we ended up leaving a whole night early and going home.

I stayed in a 1-bedroom apartment, which was very spacious with high ceilings. Lovely bathroom (though the spa bath did not work) and nicely laid-out living/dining/kitchen. Excellent location.

Broken venetians and plumbing noises at night.

My husband and I could not fly due to having Influenza A so we could not attend a family function. Our other family members were staying there. The hotel manager declined to refund our booking which was fully paid. This was very disappointing on top of not being able to attend the function that my husband was the main guest for.

There is much to like about the Crest Apartments on Barkly. If you are looking for value for money and happy for older apartments that have various levels of upgrade, these are for you. We were initially concerned given the wide range of reviews, but just remember you are not checking into 2025 new, you are checking into clean, comfortable and well presented. Staff were friendly and our apartment was regularly cleaned over the 4 nights of our booking. Beds were comfortable. Our 3 bedroom apartment had a toilet separate to the bathroom and a washer/dryer in the bathroom. It even had a modern spa bath. However my other apartment, while similar, did not have that feature. A good value for money option, with a close tram into the city or down to St Kilda proper. Lots of eating options and a Woolworths (small version) about 10 minute walk away.

Serviced apartment was quite spacious. Parts of the apartment were run down. Some of it looked nothing like the photos, particularly the kitchen and bedroom. Old, thin, single pain glass windows like paper in terms of noise reduction.
