We booked this hotel because of its proximity to Disney and because it advertised a pool, which was important for our family after long days in the parks. We were disappointed to discover that the pool closed early each evening, making it impossible to use after returning from Disney. That was not disclosed when we booked. We were then surprised to learn there was an additional fee to use the pool, which also was not clearly advertised. When we finally used it, the condition was unacceptable. The pool area was covered in mold, mildew, and grime. It was obvious that maintenance had been neglected. Charging guests an extra fee for a facility in that condition is difficult to justify. If the pool had been properly maintained and its hours and fees clearly disclosed in advance, our experience would have been very different. Unfortunately, because of the undisclosed restrictions and the poor condition of the pool, I would not recommend this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay here. The room was immaculately clean and they provided so many daily essentials that we felt completely taken care of. The Panasonic hair dryer was excellent, and everyone on the staff was kind and helpful. It really made our trip comfortable and relaxing. Thank you

The Grand Nikko is a newer hotel, but the layout and fixtures are very awkward. To me it felt like the hotel was being built, they ran out of money, and another company came in to budget finish the place so they could recoup some of the costs. The bed head boards, and shelves all seemed to be made and just thrown in with wallpaper to give it texture. Even the shower layout is such that water will sit without draining. The buffet was probably the worst I’ve been to and didn’t include drinks. The pool is also pay to use for hotel guests, so that was awkward. That said, the hotel was clean and the few staff were friendly (some areas make you feel like you are in an abandoned building). Location is also close to the Disney rail. Also a semi perk, right across the street is the Hilton, and it is an actual fully functioning hotel with a decent amount of shops and restaurants.
