We loved this hotel and its location in Kyoto. We walked to many attractions from the hotel as it is very convenient for tourists. Some of the nearby dining was fantastic and less than a two minute walk from the hotel. Hotel was extremely clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.

Small hotel, super friendly staff, and a interesting combination of traditional and modern rooms. The hotel is located in a good location and is walkable to shops and food, but is still far away that it is very quiet at night. One thing to note is the later check in and early check out which is later/earlier than most other hotels.

Hanamikoji, in the heart of the glamorous Gion district, is a one-minute walk away. Walking along the cobblestone pavement, you can see maiko and geiko on their way to their teahouses and encounter the elegant scenery typical of Kyoto. Whether you take a night stroll or an early morning walk, we invite you to enjoy an unforgettable and luxurious stay at Rinn Gion Hanatouro. Some rooms have a private terrace with a view of the temple or Mt. The view of the mountains, which change their aspect from season to season, is fantastic. All rooms are equipped with a bathtub made of Japanese cypress, a traditional Japanese beauty, and a rain shower. We aim to create a space where you can refresh your mind and body by stretching out and relaxing, or casually soaking in the footbath.
