Wat te doen in Ginkakuji

We had such a wonderful time at the ramen-making class in Kyoto with Miki and Momo! The experience felt so authentic from start to finish. Miki and Momo were absolutely fantastic hosts, super friendly, kind, and full of great conversation. They made ua feel welcome and made the class so much fun. We laughed, cooked, and enjoyed one of the best bowls of ramen we’ve ever had. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Kyoto who wants to do something hands-on, tasty, and truly memorable! Many thanks Momo and Miki!!

This will go down as one of my favorite things we did in Japan. The host are amazing and helpful. Should highly encourage anyone to go if even slightly interested.

We had an amazing time feeding the friendly deer at Nara Park, followed by a serene visit to the temple (separate ticket required). The walk through the Bamboo Forest in Arashiyama was especially relaxing thanks to the cool weather. Our tour guide, Joanna, was exceptional—she shared detailed historical insights and made the experience truly enriching. After the Bamboo Forest tour, we were given free time to explore on our own. Unfortunately, I misread our Sagano train return ticket and missed the scheduled bus back. Despite the strict timing, Joanna kindly stayed behind, watched over our luggage, and even helped us get tickets to Kyoto Station. Her support meant the world to us. Thank you, Joanna—we deeply appreciate your help!

Shin, onze gids, was echt geweldig, hij had veel informatie over de omgeving en lokale heiligdommen en tempels. Het was een goed tempo, voldoende tijd om vragen te stellen en de drukte viel mee. Shin nam de dag ervoor en op de dag zelf contact met me op om onze afspraak te regelen, alles was gewoon gemakkelijk.

A fun experience with the nicest instructors. The location is stunning too. I would highly recommend this.

It’s the best experience wearing kimono for me. the staffs are so nice and helpful. you can try colors and matching until you are sure. they don’t rush and suggest the style if we have no idea. The price might more than other places but the quality is very good and suitable for the price.
