Lobby Lounge in het Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur

Mijn familie en ik genoten van een high tea in de lobby van het Shangri-La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, en het was een uitzonderlijke ervaring. De setting was perfect voor een ontspannen middag, de porties waren heerlijk, en het attente, vriendelijke personeel zorgde ervoor dat we een onvergetelijke tijd hadden. Geniet van een heerlijke Pink Afternoon Tea-ervaring in de Lobby Lounge, elegant samengesteld in samenwerking met de London Tea Exchange. Elke hap viert delicate smaken en verfijnde theeparingen, wat een memorabele culinaire reis belooft. De Rose Ivoire Chocolademousse met Sencha Sakura is een hoogtepunt, met zijn fluweelzachte textuur en bloemige noten die prachtig worden aangevuld door de zachte umami van de thee. De mousse smelt in je mond en laat een subtiele zoetheid achter die blijft hangen. De Wild Berries Macaron met Sea of Blossom biedt een explosie van frisse fruitigheid. De knapperige schaal van de macaron maakt plaats voor een weelderige bessenvulling, perfect geharmoniseerd door de delicate bloemige noten van de Sea of Blossom-thee. Al met al is deze afternoon tea een viering van smaak en elegantie, waardoor het een absolute aanrader is voor iedereen die zijn theetijd wil verheffen.

Brought my mum here to celebrate her birthday. I purchased the afternoon tea set which already had a pre-set menu but my mum is vegetarian. So I had made a request to change the non-veg items and I must say that the staff were very accommodating. From the first call to the time of our dining, the staff were very polite and friendly. They managed to change the non-veg items to vege items and my mum said it was tasty as well. They even separated our set into two just because my mum is vegetarian. We were very impressed by the thoughtful gesture. The food presentation was fancy and the desserts were delicious. We even received complimentary ice cream for the birthday girl 🥰 Overall a wonderful experience and we will definitely go back soon 💜

staffs were so friendly when we req to switch table, even after they have already prep our reserved table beforehand. food were so tasty and yummy, i'd love to come back one day!

I enjoyed this afternoon tea experience at Shangri-la Hotel Kuala Lumpur. I like the Shangri-la tea, for reasons that it is light, not too bitter, and smooth to drink. It perfectly pairs well with the savory and sweet treats that comes along with it.

Het was zo'n genoegen om terug te komen voor de afternoon tea. Deze keer stond het in het teken van Nieuwjaar - Voorspoed. Zoals altijd was het heerlijk.

De bezorging werd gedaan door Mr Speedy. Het bezorgpersoneel was vriendelijk. Hij heeft me via sms op de hoogte gehouden van de geschatte aankomsttijd. Het eten was lekker, maar sommige zoete desserts begonnen te smelten (met chocoladetopping). Ik zou aanraden om ter plaatse te eten of te bestellen als je in de buurt van het hotel of in KL verblijft. Ik verblijf in Selangor.

Shangri-la Hotel KL never fails to disappoint me. From the moment I bought this Klook voucher until the moment we left Shangri-la Hotel with a happy tummy, their customer service level are always on-point! Right after purchasing this voucher, Shangri-la Hotel called to confirm the purchase and requested our preferred booking time for our high-tea. Upon arriving to indulge in the afternoon high-tea, services extended was great! The spread for the afternoon high-tea was sufficient but this was not a buffet spread as mentioned by previous Klook reviewer. It was just a one-set afternoon high-tea per person that was served in a 3-tiers tray. Nonetheless, it was a nice afternoon high-tea spread with a quiet and nice ambiance as we sat near the window on a cloudy afternoon overlooking the KL Towerr. Keep up the awesome offers, Klook! :)

My mom and I came here for a New Year treat and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The staff were polite and did not rush us, although it could be due to there being less people. We got the extremely aesthetic tiffin set with the scones and jams to start, then we could head over to the counters for unlimited fills of everything. We were pleasantly surprised that it was a buffet and it makes it so much more worth it! You'll get a selection of coffee or tea. For the taste of the Apple Afternoon Tea set, they were all pretty good! Thought most of the sweets were, well, SWEET hahaha. Didn't fancy the Poultry Parfait because it was a little too strong to taste, but that's up to personal preference. The Apple Cinnamon Bread absolutely knocked everything out the park as my top favourite. Atmosphere-wise, it's beautiful and serene. What you'll expect of a hotel of its calibre :D We got seats beside the huge glass windows, which honestly got a bit warm for my taste, but makes for amazing photography lighting! All in all, will definitely come back for celebrations!! :)

Sommige desserts zijn erg zoet. Andere hapjes waren goed! Thee en koffie hebben een ruime keuze. Het cafégedeelte was een beetje warm na het drinken van warme thee. De omgeving is goed om te ontspannen en te kletsen. De service was snel en attent. Over het algemeen is het een goede ervaring en het geld waard.

De promotiefoto voor reserveringen was anders dan de vorige, waardoor ik verkeerd begreep dat er een andere nieuwe afternoon tea werd aangeboden en per ongeluk de 2e kerst afternoon tea boekte. In het vervolg zal ik de menudetails controleren voordat ik boek om er zeker van te zijn.
