Unbelievable stay in Kyoto. 10/10 recommend to any travelers looking for an authentic experience in Japan. One of the highlights of my trip for sure with some of the most friendly staff!!!

Too expensive for what it is. Booked a diff place for two nights at half the cost that was better. It’s a nice property but should be renting for half the cost

This was an absolutely lovely traditional Japanese hotel property. Everything about our stay was perfect, from the pre-stay communication, the check-in experience, the facilities, the meals, and the assistance from the staff. And the bathroom in our room - heavenly! I cannot adequately express what a wonderful little oasis this little Ryokan is. Well done!

Me and my wife just recently got married and we chose to travel to Kyoto as our first trip in Japan together! We couldn’t have asked for better host or a better location for our experience. The room was amazing and easily worth the price. 10/10!

A lovely, serene hotel tucked away within the gion neighborhood of Kyoto. Great shower/bath, comfortable Japanese-style beds. We opted for the in-room breakfast one morning and it was equally as wonderful as the hotel overall.

Truly one of the best stays of all my travels. It was personalised to every detail, from the moment we entered as we got to chose our welcome drink to the luggage delivery service with extra attention in the end. The location was precious, very historical and quite private, while the amenities were unexpectedly very modern. The staff were beyond adorable and extremely helpful; Shinyi and Sae are very caring and we already miss them! Having the breakfast served in the room was also great. This place felt like a home away from home. We can’t wait to come back.

This is a truly special place... a highlight of our two week trip to Japan. From the magical location to our beautiful room (that tub!) to the amazing, kind and attentive staff, it was every romantic dream we had of Kyoto come true. Thank you Ishibekoji MUAN!!!
