Nice sized rooms. Basic lobby / breakfast area

We were in a great location. The staff were always there to help if needed and check-in was very smooth.

The gym had five pieces of equipment that were out of service. Three of them had a sign the other two did not. The front dest two of the three rude and not welcoming. All that mattered was we had a clean room. However, when I spend my money I want to have better customer service. Front desk needs to smile and ask if we have any questions and let us know if we need anything ask.

The staff was very helpful at the front desk and the rooms were very clean. We have stayed there about 10 times. Keep going back.

Nice location. Our room was on the backside and was spacious and very quiet. Very good mattress and plenty of room to organize your stuff for five day stay. Highly functional bathroom with good space for toiletries. Good lobby coffee. Nothing fancy but it does strong job providing the basics for a Brooklyn stay-better than big chains

My name is Collin Gordon and I am reaching out in regards to my recent stay on July 3rd through the 5th. Upon arriving the two rooms that were booked were completely inhabitable. The conditions of the room upon entering were left extremely unprofessional. Pictures will be provided at the end of this email. Rooms 222 and 230 had a temperature of 94 degrees - more hot and humid that the weather outside. No one should ever sleep in such conditions; let alone have to enter such a room after traveling from California or anywhere. This a business… After checking in, immediately my guest and I went to the front desk to consult the condition of the room. After speaking to the front desk lady on shift Friday evening around 7-8pm; she even agreed the condition of the room was not up to pair and even she knew of the issues prior to arriving. If a lower level employee knows about the poor condition of a room about to be checked in, shouldn’t the property manager know as well? Is there anyone that checks / cleans the rooms after guest leave? If this check was done properly I think this issue could have been avoided. Room 222 AC was hanging off the wall with wires exposed as seen in the photos. Broken AC with no intent to fix the issue. Mechanic was gone for the day. Room 230 AC was wrapped with white tape and blowing luke warm air. This rooms AC was kept on all weekend to which the room stayed warm all weekend. This room was not able to be used due to the poor condition.

The best location and great room. Always have a fantastic stay.

We love this hotel because of its great location in Brooklyn and the ease of access to Manhattan. The room was a little bigger than most and we enjoyed sitting in the room working. It was quiet and the A/C worked well so we had a good sleep. The breakfast was fine and the staff were extremely helpful. We will be back

Great property and location. Only flaw was that cleaning staff never returned after the initial attempt to clean. Other than that would definitely return

NU Hotel in Brooklyn is a beat-up, poorly maintained, unwelcoming and unhelpful staff: -rooms are crammed, beds are very uncomfortable - bed mattresses on both beds were hard and lopsided, bathroom shower did not function properly (could not be turned off so we had to keep it running, then the soap holder fell off, and there was dirt or mold around the edges of shower floor). Bathroom does not have a fan which could explain the mold. -the air conditioning unit stopped working about midnight, and this was a hot night, temperatures rose to 80F, we called front desk, but the unit was failed (the unit looked old, dusted, rusted, and very noisy) - this happened at 6:00 am - we checked out shortly thereafter even so we did not intend it in our plans. -we discussed this with front desk agent who presented himself as standoffish, rude. - we will not return -
