This hotel is a step next to the shopping street which is very easy to dining and shopping. The room is small and we accepted for low price per night. They refurnished their lobby in a modern and hip design, and put a lot of instant drinks of coffee, green tea latte, chocolate etc in the lobby for guests to try which is a surprise. But their rooms did not refurnish and are still in old style, especially their TV signals are very bad, only a few channels can be watched, the Hotel AreaOne Oita should seriously refix this problem as this never happened in other Japanese hotels. For parking, it is advised to park the nearby public carpark a few walks from the hotel for 800 yen from 6pm to 8am, then 200yen per hour.

Basic hotel - staff very friendly. Breakfast choice very limited, room was ok, very small but bed comfortable. Very expensive for what it was but had no choice as here during rugby World Cup and everything else was booked.

Hotel is located in a good location, reception area is spacious and good if you have to hang around for check in. Hotel was clean and ammenities were good.

The hotel was basic but cheap. The location was convenient, being close (c. 10 minutes) to the station and other amenities. As a 3* hotel I would not complain.
