Excellent place to stay whether as a couple, family or solo. Very near to must visit tourist sites as its at Sultanahmet. Excellent front office staff. Each and every one were polite and helpful. Even helped us with our luggages when our shuttle driver could not reach the hotel front due to traffic and stopped about 40m short. The Staff definitely are a huge asset to the Hotel. Very clean and well kept lobby and rooms. Spacious too considering it was in the old city. If i was forced to leave a negative it would be breakfast but not to say it was bad but rather it was lacking in variety. Overall Tan Hotel is on our top list of places to stay if we were to visit Istanbul again.

Ideal location and simple, tasteful and quiet rooms with great showers. Staff was helpful and the rooftop breakfast buffet offered a wide array of local offerings, beautifully displayed. Really a wonderful place to sit and sip on Turkish coffee or tea while watching birds weave across the rooftops in front of the majestic mosque minarets. This hotel offers high quality and good value.

The staff could not have been more helpful. The hotel is perfectly located for touring most of the major sites in Istanbul. They are easily within walking distance. Breakfast was included. Would definitely stay there again.

Hotel was very dirty, full of insects, and the smell of smoking was everywhere. Ended up checking out early and booking another hotel for the rest of my stay.

Room was a little tired but spotlessly clean. Our room was cleaned and reset every day. Breakfast was good and they were happy for us to sit up in the breakfast room of an evening to watch the sun go down. It was a lovely view. Close to all the things you want to see in the faith district. Nice restaurants close by. Only issue was taxis and buses couldn’t stop outside so it was a short walk from the main road.
